Chapter 419: Banquet

Chapter 419: Banquet

"Let's go and use the teleportation circle. The others might have been waiting for us."

"Ok."

Aside from the Royal Family members, some influential families were also invited. Lu Jian and Fan Ling's family were also included while Lin Yun tagged as Lin Xiao's guard. He could easily reveal that he was also a prince, but his low status made him unwilling to be put as another enemy by other princes.

It was already enough that Lin Xiao was placed at danger most of the time because of his position as one of the princes.

Swish!

As they reached a building, Lin Xiao could see that the hall was filled with people. Those who had just arrived would all appear here. Looking around, there were several teleportation circle that could be seen.

"Let's move so that the teleportation circle can be used again."

"Oh."

Lin Xiao moved with Princess Lan Yi Hua right beside him. The two of them attracted some attention and the nobles from Hua Lan Kingdom already knew Princess Lan Yi Hua since she had showed herself a few times in the past. Right now, they were discussing the man who was standing beside her.

The news of their marriage did enter the ear of Hua Lan Kingdom and the only letter Princess Lan Yi Hua sent to them only contained one sentence.

"I'm the one who asked for it to be this way."

That obviously set them to rage because of how ungrateful she was. In their opinion, no matter whether she was treated badly by them or whatever, she still has to adhere to their words and respected them greatly. This decision of hers to not tell them until the deeds was done was unforgivable.

However, the little princess was no longer afraid of them and didn't even return. Even when she came to the banquet, she came with her husband.

"It's her."

"She did come here."

"The princess marry an orphan prince?"

"Yes, I heard that he's just an abandoned prince who's around the same age as the princess. He's even so poor that he didn't learn much about etiquette…."

"Geez, the first princess is always being an embarrassment."

"Would the host even allow her to step inside…"

More and more people recognized them and even some nobles from Sun Kingdom didn't have good impression of them. In their eyes, the two of them were both equally unworthy of each other.

Even if Lin Xiao had showed that he was quite great as a genius, there were simply too many other geniuses who were capable to be of the same feat as him. Thus, many people simply looked down on him along with Princess Lan Yi Hua.

"They're talking about you," Lin Xiao said in low tone while looking at Princess Lan Yi Hua with concern. Obviously, he wanted to beat them all up for talking bad about his woman. They didn't have the right to say those words to Princess Lan Yi Hua.

"It's fine."

Lin Xiao's fist clenched tightly. Damn them. If only it was possible, he wanted to make sure that they eat their own words by showing that Princess Lan Yi Hua was actually very capable. However, he had to be patient and wait for the right time.

It was not the time yet.

The building where the teleportation circles located were not far from the main hall where they held the banquet this time. This place was right at the border between the two kingdoms as it would be dangerous if either side declared war.

Though, as far as they knew, no side wanted to make this relationship sourer since the two of them wanted to achieve peace from this union.

As Lin Xiao and Princess Lan Yi Hua stepped into the hall, some nobles and also powerful cultivators swept their gaze to them. Lin Xiao detected most of their ranks and felt astounded because they were only between Golden Core Stage 1 and 2.

'Is it that hard to advance to Golden Core Stage 3?'

'Advancing to Golden Core Stage 3 requires you to fight against the Heavens. It means that there'll be tribulation in their heart and most people will not dare to trigger the tribulation in fear that they fail and end up dying in the process.' Lin Hu was the one who explained. The tribulation was more like to further their understanding of their path, though.

It was usually invincible to the naked eyes.

In fact, after Golden Core Stage 3, there would be another tribulation if they wanted to advance further.

During tribulation, they were not allowed to be assisted by other people and have to rely on their own strength. Because of this point, many people didn't dare to attempt it and could only stared at the rank with longing without any capabilities to pass it.

However, Lin Xiao could see that the Emperors were both already at Golden Core Stage 3 just based on the pressures they exerted.

'To become the Emperor, you need to become Golden Core Stage 3?'

'Not really, but if you're not the most powerful one, how could you expect the others to follow you?'

There were only very few cultivators at Golden Core Stage 3 since it was a stage that required much more power and luck. If they didn't dare to go against the Heaven, they would never be able to reach that stage. It was that simple.

A middle aged man noticed Lin Xiao and smiled. "So, you're Lin Xiao?"

"Yes." Lin Xiao's brows creased at the middle aged man's impoliteness, but he still kept a smile on his face.

"Thank you for taking care of my son. He can't stop talking about you whenever he visits back." The middle aged man smiled helplessly.

Son?

Lin Xiao glanced back and saw Lu Jian walked over. The expression on the young man's face was that of embarrassment.

Lin Xiao also had no intention to make things difficult for Lu Jian. He nodded. "Your son is the one who helps me a lot."

"You're quite a polite young man." The middle aged man laughed and then talked a bit more with Lin Xiao. To his surprise, Lin Xiao was capable to keep polite speech thorough the entire conversation.

It didn't look like he was talking to someone who came from the village at all.
