Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

The speed of Silver King was incredibly fast. As the strongest wolf in the pack, even while carrying a person through the jungle, it could still reach a speed of forty to fifty kilometers per hour.

The scenery in the jungle flashed by quickly on both sides of Xu Xin, who completely ignored the small wild animals as he headed straight for the resource area.

The distance from the treehouse to the previous salt mine cave was just about four kilometers, and in just around five minutes, Silver King crossed a distance that had taken Xu Xin nearly an hour to cover before.

After a sharp, pained squeal, the black-haired wild boar closed its eyes forever.

Silver King didn’t stop, charging towards another wild boar as Xu Xin gripped the stone spear, using Silver King’s strength to pull the spearhead from the previous boar’s head.

The remaining two wild boars, seeing their companion’s tragic death, let out an angry snort. One charged directly at Xu Xin and Silver King, while the other seemed frightened and turned to flee.

"None of you will escape!" Xu Xin drew out a crossbow, firing an arrow at the fleeing wild boar.

The crossbow bolt didn’t hit the boar’s body but accidentally struck its hind leg, causing it to stumble and fall.

Silver King, using its agility, dodged the nearby boar’s charge.

Ordinary wolves might not be able to take on a wild boar one on one, but with Silver King’s weight over two hundred kilograms, in the same weight class, it was no problem to toy with this clumsy animal relying only on its head.

"Eek!" Keke suddenly jumped off the wolf’s back, sprinting towards the wild boar with the injured hind leg with its small legs.

"Keke!" Xu Xin called out in concern, as he only brought the little guy along because it often found things he couldn’t. He didn’t intend for it to fight.

But the nearby boar had already turned and charged at him again, forcing Xu Xin to first deal with the immediate threat. He gripped the stone spear tighter, thrusting it towards the charging boar.

Underneath him, Silver King dodged the boar’s attack, and Xu Xin’s stone spear didn’t hit the boar’s head but instead carved a deep wound on its body.

Xu Xin glanced toward where Keke was.

Keke had jumped onto the back of the struggling wild boar, using its four sharp claws to latch onto the boar’s skin and biting the boar’s ear, just like in the previous wild boar hunt, causing the boar to thrash about wildly.

Keke had the boar restrained; he needed to kill the boar in front of him quickly to go help!

"Silver King, attack!" Xu Xin had held back the command for Silver King to attack, as its moves might disrupt his own. So he dismounted and faced the injured boar alongside Silver King.

The wounded boar’s eyes seemed to turn red, charging at them in a frenzy, but unable to gain momentum due to the short distance, it was slapped in the face by Silver King’s paw.

Silver King nimbly avoided the boar’s raised head thrust, biting down on the black boar’s neck, and using its weight and strength, toppled it to the ground.

The boar let out a pig-like scream, struggling to break free, but was met with a sharp spearhead.

"Squelch!" Boar blood splattered as the boar’s life came to an end.

With this boar dealt with, Xu Xin quickly mounted Silver King and rushed toward Keke.

The wild boar restrained by Keke was frantically rolling on the ground, trying to shake Keke off, while Keke agilely evaded, hopping around the boar and occasionally clawing at it. Although not causing much harm, it distracted the boar with the injured hind leg, keeping it from concentrating on escaping.

"Keke, dodge!" Riding Silver Wolf, Xu Xin charged toward the boar on the ground, spear ready.

Keke swiftly leapt several meters away.

Silver King dashed toward it, and Xu Xin’s spear plunged into the back of the injured-leg boar, making it let out a harrowing squeal. Xu Xin didn’t delight in harming animals. He pulled out the spear, aimed at the back of the boar’s head, and ended its life with one thrust.

Thus, the three wild boars all fell by his spear.

The notification came in later than expected.

The points for one wild boar were 40, ten less than capturing Silver King, but not a huge difference, indicating the formidable strength of the boar.

Yet despite this, he had taken on three at once and hunted them unscathed!

Well, it was actually three against three. Without Silver King and Keke, he couldn’t have handled three wild boars alone.

After the intense and thrilling battle, Xu Xin relaxed and lay down on Silver King’s back. The soft fur felt so comfortable Xu Xin even considered taking a nap there.

"Eek?" Keke stood up from the ground, tilting its head at him.

Still lying on the wolf’s back, Xu Xin reached out and roughly ruffled Keke’s head. "You did great, but don’t ever do that again! With that small body, trying to hunt like me, one hit could be the end of you!"

"Eek!" Keke squirmed away from Xu Xin’s ruffling, pointing at the boar on the ground, then raised its little head.

"Okay, okay, you’re amazing, but don’t be so reckless in the future!"

"Eek!"

Lying on the wolf’s back for a while, Xu Xin felt relaxed enough to doze off.

"No, I can’t slack off, I need to break down these three boar carcasses first!" Xu Xin propped himself up and took out the boning knife.

The three wild boars were quickly dismembered.

"As expected, the drop rate for strong beasts is much higher!" Xu Xin muttered to himself, looking at the blue-grade material in his hand.
