Chapter 839: Demonic Sword Style
The same was happening on Noelle's side. As one would expect from the people who Nathan trained, they thought the same thing the moment they saw a huge ice spike that stopped a massive soil from turning into a landslide.
"…" Noelle squinted her eyes. "That's…"
'What is happening? The situation on Nathan's side seems to be troublesome. Should I go back and help him? But I don't have enough strength left to deal with the aliens on this side. Helping him right now means these aliens will reach him as well.
'In that case, should I kill these aliens first? I don't know how long he can last. And that ice… No, wait. Will that ice disappear after some time?
'Nathan is trying to help them, but is he also sending a kind of message?'
Noelle paused for a moment. The ice should disappear soon. And when would that ice disappear? The answer was rather obvious. Once Sera and the others finished their job there, they would disappear.
If there was an unlimited amount of time, it meant they had killed all the aliens there. However, there was no way Nathan would wait that long.
Hence, once she limited the amount of time, the message was pretty clear.
'Does he want us to kill the warrior class aliens and regroup with him? Flora's ability to hold back a large number of enemies is actually better than mine, but Nathan chooses me and Selena to do it.
'I finally see the reason. Flora is there to become their brain. He believes I will figure out what he wants and accomplish that task.
'And this time, the task is to kill the warrior class alien. Selena must have realized the same thing. And once we're done, we'll go back to the top and let him recall that ice.' Noelle's body shook. This was a tough task.
Not only were there a few hundred lower-level aliens, but there was also one warrior class alien.
'No. That's not the problem. He chooses me because he believes I have that ability.' Noelle took a deep breath, recalling all the things Nathan had given. The night two days prior was still fresh in her mind.
She felt happy from the bottom of her heart that Nathan trusted and relied on her. And she didn't plan to betray that trust.
"Murmur, War!" Noelle raised her voice. "We'll kill that warrior class alien. The time limit is five minutes."
"!!!" Murmur raised his eyebrows. He wanted to ask whether she had gone insane or not, considering the lower-level aliens were standing between them and their target. It would be close to impossible to break through them and somehow kill that alien within the allocated time.
The war horseman, on the other hand, gathered the ferocity of his enemy as though he were ready to charge into the enemy's rank.
"Jeez." Murmur let out a long sigh. "Fine, fine. We will do it."
The war horseman nodded. His action was telling them he would use every bit of his energy to open up the path for them. All that was left was for Noelle and Murmur to defeat the warrior class alien.
"GO!" Murmur shouted.
The war horseman charged forward, taking advantage of the torrential ferocity to kill all the aliens in its path. No matter what wound he received, he would continue.
Meanwhile, Noelle followed right after on her horse. Murmur raised his right hand while saying casually, "You need to bring me as well."
Noelle grabbed him and pulled him up while the horse was still moving. "We don't have a lot of time. We have to kill this alien."
Murmur harrumphed. "It's possible. However, you might have to rely on my swordsmanship."
"I'm prepared for it." Noelle nodded. "Just for this battle, I will utilize everything in my repertoire."
"Heh. In that case, let's do it." Murmur smirked.
Both of them raised their swords at the same time. "Blaze!"
A bright red flame appeared on their blades at the same time before flaring up.
"Ooohhhh!" The war horseman charged forward. Every slash from him cut down multiple aliens.
Lower-level aliens didn't stand a chance against him, even though they were blocking it together.
Still, there was a mature class humanoid alien leaping into the air, trying to drag him off his horse.
"!!!" The war horseman hurriedly switched his stance, but all of a sudden, a horse jumped toward that mature class alien.
Both Murmur and Noelle said the same thing. "Demonic Sword Style, Sword Blaze."
"!!!" The alien looked surprised and hurriedly put both arms in front, but Noelle and Murmur slashed him at the same time, creating an X-shaped sword strike. Noelle's slash was in the front but didn't have enough strength, but Murmur's slash pushed it forward, giving the force required to cut down the alien in a single strike.
"Continue!" Noelle shouted.
The war horseman nodded and pushed forward, ultimately breaking through the enemy's rank. There was nothing left between him and the warrior class alien.
However, just to reach this far, the war horseman expended so much energy. His hand had grown numb after continuously using one big move after another, and his energy had become unstable due to absorbing too much ferocity.
The alien raised his fist, planning to take down the war horseman in one go. The lower-level aliens surrounded them so that they couldn't escape.
Out of the blue, Noelle and Murmur leaped from the top of the horse into the air, striking the giant fist that was about to hit the war horseman.
"!!!" The slashes cut through the skin and pushed back the alien's massive fist.
Noelle and Murmur landed on the ground as they raised their swords with the same exact movement.
"Demonic Sword Style, Second Step, Demonic Dance." Both of them shouted.
They leaped again toward the fist and slashed the entire arm multiple times as though they were dancing.
The alien tried to stop them, but to no avail. If he focused on Noelle, Murmur would launch an all-out attack, and vice versa. That was why the alien punched with the other arm, forcing Noelle to jump into the sky.
Meanwhile, Murmur looped around the alien and shouted, "Demonic Sword Style, Sword Blaze!"
He struck the alien's shoulder from behind, but the arm was too tough. He failed to cut through the entire arm by himself.
However, Murmur only smiled because there was no need to unleash another strike.
Noelle spun her body in midair as she gradually fell toward the same shoulder. "Demonic Sword Style, Sword Blaze!"
She struck the shoulder at the same position, albeit from the opposite direction, giving the last bit of cut to chop the entire arm.
"Raaaa!" The alien screamed while holding its shoulder.
