Chapter 398: Cosmic Treasure Arcade Center (2), Robot Wars!
"Can we go to that robot game?" Aria asked with puppy eyes.
"I am interested in that too," Rin grinned. "Let's go there."
"Found it," Erix nodded as he showed the screen to Rin, Isabella, and Aria.

"There," Rin's eyes shone, and she pressed on the game. In the next second, a blue light was released from the card on the floor.
[Follow the line to reach the gate of the Hyper Galactic Robot Wars game zone.]
"Let's go!" Aria said with excitement and walked ahead.
Everyone followed the blue line and soon arrived at the robotic gate with colorful lights and robot parts as gadgets and features around the big gate.
A middle-aged man exited from the gate and glanced for a second at Erix and others while walking away.
The squad entered through the portal gate and arrived at a slightly colorful hall with colorful life-like statues of various robots on the three sides.
The only side that didn't have robot statues was right before them and it displayed a massive two-kilometer-tall and wide glassy screen several hundred meters away from them.
"This is crazy!" Erix almost shouted as he looked at the whole futuristic robot set in this hall! His inner fanboy of robots was bursting out.
Rin and others were also amazed and felt anticipation to try this out.
"Game board," Erix pointed to their left just a few meters away and saw a board showing the information of the game.
[Hyper Galactic Robot Wars]
-How to play?
—> Pick your robot at the Play Desk in the center of the hall and enter the game by paying 10 Arcade Points.
—> Each monster you kill grants you 1 Robot Treasure point.
—> Each player robot you kill grants you 1 Arcade Point and 10 Robot Treasure points.
—> If you killed 5 player robots and 50 monsters, you can go to Hyper Wars Realm and earn the Top Treasures that the Hyper Galactic Robot Wars game has to offer to capable players.
"Sounds simple enough, but also demanding on skills since we are not allowed to use our powers," Rin grinned and rubbed her hands. "Let's go, let's go. I can't wait."
"Haha, that's right," Erix nodded with a laugh.
"Where's Aria?" Isabella noticed that Aria vanished.
"Come on, you three! Why so slow?" Aria shouted with a pout as she already went ahead to the center desk to select her robot.
The others soon arrived there and put their cards in a slot before a digital screen list of robots appeared.
"Damn, there are 1000 robots and we can only select one," Rin was speechless.
"This is torture," Erix wryly smiled. "It would be fun if we could have multiple robots and switch them."
"I selected mine," Isabella said with a smile, shocking Rin and Erix.
"So fast?"
"En," Isabella nodded and chuckled, "Well, each robot has its own specialties and a set of skills. They are roughly on the same level, so it all depends on the synergy between the robot and pilot."
"Yep, but the tough part is selecting," Erix looked at the list of robots with cool names.
"True, I want to try many," Rin pouted.
"I selected mine too!" Aria said as her screen displayed a slender green robot with a female figure, wearing a vine-like outfit, and a golden crown on her head. It showed her area of specialty in a graph and a list of her five skills, which was the robot's skill set.

"We have a skill set and it seems we'll get a skill that could be any of five types if we level up," Isabella said as she read basic information about the robot rules.
"This looks fun," Aria nodded smilingly, eager to play.
"Alright, we should hurry and select one too," Erix dryly chuckled.
"True. We can't be bothered to check the skills of all robots. Let's just look at their appearance and names," Rin said with a chuckle. "We'll select the ones most badass sounding to us."
"Exactly," Erix grinned.
Both of them looked through the list of robots, mainly looking at their appearance and names.
After all, they could see what specialty robots had based on those two things.
After a minute of looking through, Rin selected her robot.
"Alright, I've got mine," Rin grinned as she looked at the slender black-red robot with four-blade arms instead of normal arms.
[Black Star Blade Demon]
"I also got mine. The Prime Ripple Dominator," Erix said, his grin big and eyes raring. "Let's go."
The four of them walked towards the portal in front of the big glassy screen which displayed ongoing wars of robots and insectoids.
As they entered the portal, they arrived in complete darkness as a panel of rules appeared.
[Game Rules]
1. Working together to kill monsters is allowed.
2. PvP is initiated only between two people when one of them attacks the other. Once it is on, the two are invulnerable to all other robot player's attacks and skills, but can be hurt by Insectoid Monsters.
3. Each minute, you will lose 1 Arcade Point.
[You will enter the battlefield after five seconds.]
"What? Lose 1 Arcade point each minute?" Erix raised his eyebrows. "So playing games also requires Arcade points."
'Welp. I just need to kill more than 1 robot player every minute,' Erix grinned ferociously.
Rin, Isabella, and Aria also read the rules.
Five seconds passed and all of them arrived at various spots in the huge galactic battlefield with many colorful lights flying around.
Erix looked at the digital screen before him and felt his limbs entering inside liquid-like cold but comfortable slots in the robot's cockpit.
Prime Ripple Dominator was not a slim robot like Rin's but like a boxer with proper chest shape and limbs with dark blue, red, and black patterns with dark gold linings.
'Let's get the hang of skills and movement first,' Erix looked at the wide screen in front of his eyes. He checked the vision range around, the senses sensors, and started testing basic functions and controls.
'Damn, this is awesome!'
