Chapter 369 - Battle! Port City of Veneth (1)

Chapter 369: Battle! Port City of Veneth (1)

The war mindlessly dragged on. Enemies swarmed in restlessly and the number had now grown over the ten thousand range. They now began to form small groups to fight against the bombardments and multiple guerrilla-style battles were waged over the area.

“Get back! It’s going down!”

“Damn bastards!”

“Move the wounded!”

Part of the Fjord’s gate wall was destroyed. Rubble fell and many soldiers were injured from the crumbling mortar and stones. Potions were used on all the wounded as veteran soldiers seemed to have mixed feelings.

“The times have changed, innit?”

“Yeah… look at all those potions! We never had those.”

“And the food! That’s like noble food!”

The veteran soldiers seemed to be very calm and undisturbed despite the chaos.

“Ugh, look at those old people chattering again.”

“Ugh. Why do they have to come here and fight? It’s not like they’re helpful at all.”

“I know.”

The young soldiers didn’t seem to welcome the veteran soldiers much.

“But they got some tricks up their sleeves.”

“Yeah. I guess so.”

That’s when someone shouted, “ENEMY SCOUT!”

Everyone then noticed an enemy flying over them high up. A scout was on top of a long surfing board-like object, hovering over them. Soldiers fired at the surfing board, but it couldn’t penetrate the blue energy barrier, as the enemy flew over quickly and headed toward the city.

“That bastard is going towards Veneth!”

Then, when white smoke rose from the top of the mountain, and the flying scout suddenly exploded and fell.

“Whoa! It’s a Panzer!”

“Yay!”

Soldiers cheered and rejoiced.

“There it comes again!”

“Everyone! Stand ready!”

“Fireballs! Fall back!”

“General Hallis, it’s ready,” Baren reported and Hallis smiled.

“Good. Then it’s time to strike back.”

“Yes, sir.”

Hallis took up a pair of binoculars and looked at the enemy basecamp. It was quite far from their position.

“Start when ready.”

Baren then took over the radio.

“You may begin.”

-Yes, sir.

The answer came back on the radio, and sounds of explosions rang out in the area. There were two powerful explosions that thundered in the entire area.

-Target hit! Target hit!

It was just two shots, but the power was devastating. The enemy base was immediately leveled.

“Right on!” shouted Hallis.

“We hit the middle of thirty thousand enemies, sir.” Baren smiled.

In the middle of the enemy base was like hell had been let loose.

“Aaargh…”

“Where’s the barrier…”

“Where are our officers…”

The world had turned upside down and yet there were no leaders to be found.

“General. All of our officers were killed in the strike.”

Lieutenant Buraxinor came over and formed a barrier around him and the General Kruturas. Bruaxinor himself was also badly injured.

“I can’t believe we can’t get rid of this weak race!”

They were well aware of this race called ‘human.’ There were other races in this world, but the main race was humans. They were well experienced with humans in other worlds. However, this was the first time that they were fighting back with extreme resistance.
