Chapter 261 Bonds and Relief
Chapter 261 Bonds and Relief
"One down, two left!" Long Tian declared with a smirk, the blood dripping from his blade adding to the ominous aura surrounding him.
Hou Dian and Ju Yin were utterly incredulous at the scene they had just witnessed. Lu Dan, their old friend, a powerful cultivator mastering the Full Moon technique, died in a tragic way.
But the next moment truly shocked them even more when Lu Dan's lifeless body suddenly rose, shrouded in darkness, standing beside Long Tian, glaring at them both ferociously.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Ju Yin exclaimed, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Hou Dian also appeared to have difficulty believing this. Truly, there was a power that could raise the dead.
"So, this is your power? You can raise the dead to serve you? Such abilities are taboo, yet here you stand, the young scion of the ancient Long family, wielding them," he remarked, his eyes narrowing.
"No matter where the power comes from, if it benefits me, I won't hesitate to embrace it," Long Tian said with a smirk.
Hou Dian's expression hardened, realizing that the young man he had underestimated was now a significant threat, having even slain his old comrade.
Advancing, he unleashed his aura, revealing his muscular frame adorned with battle scars, his dark energy exuding a palpable sense of menace.
"Enough games. Since you dared to kill Lu Dan, then don't ever think of living!" he declared coldly, his aura surging as he summoned forth a towering figure behind him, his martial spirit, Ashura the Warbringer.
As his form expanded, veins bulging, he loomed over two meters tall, resembling a monstrous presence.
Long Tian's grin widened in response. "Arise!" he commanded. 𝔣𝖗𝔢𝔢𝔴𝖊𝖇𝖓𝔬𝔳𝖊𝔩.𝔠𝔬𝖒
In an instant, another dark soul emerged from his shadow, taking the form of a beautiful woman, Hua Jing, whom he had encountered earlier.
"Now, it's 3 against 2," he remarked with a smirk.
Hou Dian's forehead bulged with anger, "You're not even using your martial spirit's power? You'll regret it!" he exclaimed and immediately darted towards Long Tian.
Long Tian remained still and pointed towards Ju Yin, and his two dark souls nodded, immediately flying towards the man.
Ju Yin had no choice but to face these dark creatures, which were highly troublesome because they couldn't be killed. Every time he struck them, they quickly regenerated as if nothing happened.
On the flip side, the mysterious woman thoroughly enjoyed this fight. It had been a long time since she had seen such a passionate and sacrificial battle.
Now her focus turned to Long Tian, whose power was indeed peculiar but also fascinating.
Meanwhile, Alexia looked on with hopeful eyes at Long Tian, praying deeply for his safety and victory.
Surely Long Tian's arrival here was something she was deeply grateful for. Her fate, which she thought would be dark and end tragically, changed after his arrival.
Not gonna lie, if she weren't married, seeing Long Tian come like a hero to rescue her, she would definitely fall in love.
--------
Back to the battle.
Bang!
Long Tian was hit hard by Hou Dian's punch, sending him flying to crash into one of the giant pillars, its surface cracking as he stuck to it.
Gritting his teeth, the muscles in his body bulged, and he immediately shot from the pillar towards the now three-meter-tall Hou Dian.
A clash of punches was inevitable, the sound of their collision echoing loudly like iron meeting iron within the vast chamber, where Long Tian had to exert himself to match Hou Dian's physical strength, which had increased several times due to the effect of his martial spirit.
But no matter how hard Long Tian tried to match the middle-aged man's physical strength, he always fell short.
Bang!
Long Tian was thrown back again after being hit hard, but this time Hou Dian didn't stay idle. His martial spirit, Ashura the Warbringer, bestowed upon him the blessings of the warrior, enhancing his physical strength, speed, and durability.
With the speed of a thunderbolt, Hou Dian closed the distance between them, appearing next to Long Tian in an instant. His palm struck with tremendous force, sending Long Tian hurtling to the ground instead of being merely thrown aside.
A resounding crack echoed through the chamber as the crystal floor, resilient as it was, fractured under Long Tian's impact, leaving him sprawled and vulnerable.
The sound of approaching footsteps heralded Hou Dian's presence as he loomed over the fallen Long Tian, who groaned in pain.
"Truly remarkable. Not surprising from Long Zhan's son, you even forced me to use my martial spirit. Such physical strength, you truly deserve to be the young master of that ancient family," he said with a smirk. "But now, I'll end it!"
His fist clenched tightly, veins bulging with exertion as he brought it down towards Long Tian's face. However, before the blow could land, a black dragon head emerged from beneath them, clamping its jaws around Hou Dian's right arm and flinging him away from Long Tian.
Hou Dian's eyes widened in shock as he grappled with the unexpected turn of events, facing the two piercing black eyes of the imposing dragon. He couldn't fathom how such a colossal creature could materialize in their midst.
But that wasn't the main issue he had to think about. Now it was how to release the dragon's bite, which seemed to pierce even his resilient skin.
Pounding the dragon's head with his free arm, Hou Dian struggled ferociously to extricate himself. "Release me, you damn serpent!" he spat, his efforts escalating in intensity as he fought to break the dragon's hold.
But technically, the dragon didn't have a physical organs, and it was Long Tian's external power that didn't require any energy to summon it. The problem was how long the dragon could remain active depended on his energy level.
As Hou Dian was propelled through the air by the black dragon's forceful grip, Long Tian rose to his feet, his form crackling with arcs of yellow lightning as a towering figure materialized behind him – Zeus, the god of thunder.
His eyes glazed over, turning a stark white, while his aura surged with even greater intensity than before.
Pointing towards the west, where his two dark souls were locked in combat with Ju Yin, Long Tian unleashed a bolt of lightning directly at his opponent.
"Aaargh!" Ju Yin's agonized cry pierced the air as his body convulsed violently from the searing shock of electricity.
Seizing the opportunity, Long Tian's dark souls closed in on Ju Yin. Alter, wielding his customary sword forged from darkness, thrust it towards Ju Yin's body, but the latter's trembling form narrowly evaded the strike.
Meanwhile, Lu Dan, now transformed into a dark soul, wasted no time in launching his own assault on Ju Yin, employing his martial prowess with relentless ferocity.
Ju Yin found himself confronting these two dark entities while enduring excruciating pain. It was difficult to comprehend that he, a Nascent Soul cultivator of the third level, would struggle against a practitioner of the Flowing Qi realm.
His eyes widened in disbelief as he beheld Long Tian, standing nearby enveloped in a crackling aura of yellow lightning.
Ju Yin convinced himself that he had a great chance of winning against the young master, given his higher level. But in an instant, the scene of Long Tian killing Lu Dan with a single slash popped up in his mind, making him hesitate again.
In the end, he shook his head, banishing the thought, while bellowing, "Fuck, I'll face you then. No matter if you're a dragon descendant or a worm! Here I go, bastard!" he roared, darting towards Long Tian.
Long Tian remained motionless, a picture of calm. As Ju Yin closed in dangerously, he fragmented into particles of light, moving with the speed of lightning. In a thunderous explosion, he materialized behind Ju Yin, delivering a devastating lightning strike that caused the man to convulse uncontrollably from the powerful electric shock.
While Long Tian stood unperturbed, Lu Dan and Alter sprang into action. Alter, with his eyes shut, had already closed the distance, standing before Ju Yin, who widened his eyes in terror, sensing the imminent danger.
Operating his lethal technique, Frozen Wind, Alter's gaze seemed to freeze everything in its path, momentarily halting Ju Yin's heart.
With a swift swing of his sword, the sound of SLASH! reverberated as Alter cleaved sideways towards Ju Yin.
And in the next moment, the man's hand fell to the ground, blood spurting from the severed limb. Even the slash's impact reached his chest, but for his left hand shielding him, he would have been split in half!
"Aaargh!" Ju Yin groaned in agony, collapsing to the ground, his expression filled with disbelief as he stared at his severed hand lying on the ground.
His eyes trembled with fear; Long Tian's terror was undeniably real. He should never have underestimated the main descendant of the Long family. Glancing towards the other side, searching for Hou Dian, he was met with the sight of the middle-aged man locked in aerial combat with a dragon.
'Shit shit shit! What should I do now?!' he panicked inwardly. 'Even if I die, I have to take him with me!'
With determination enveloping him, Ju Yin slowly rose. Yet, as he turned around, his eyes widened in disbelief as he felt a sword pierce his heart.
Without affording him a chance to retaliate, the sword emitted a surge of dark energy, enveloping his body in a blaze of black flames that burned fiercely.
Ju Yin screamed, writhing and rolling on the ground, but the fire showed no signs of dying down, its intensity unyielding.
Long Tian's expression remained as cold as ice as he observed his writhing adversary, whose screams gradually subsided as the flames consumed him.
As seconds ticked by, the screams ceased entirely, the flames dwindling until they were extinguished, leaving behind a charred figure, no longer resembling a human form. Ju Yin had been reduced to ashes!
Witnessing the unfolding scene, Alexia stood frozen in awe, her eyes wide with disbelief and admiration. She watched in stunned silence as Ju Yin, who had once been so cruel and menacing towards her, was reduced to mere ashes before her eyes.
Tears streamed down her cheeks uncontrollably, a mixture of disbelief and overwhelming relief washing over her. Ju Yin had been her greatest tormentor, her darkest fear incarnate, but now, the source of her nightmares lay vanquished.
The weight lifted from her shoulders was indescribable. Her heart swelled with warmth as she beheld the young man, his figure enveloped in crackling lightning, a hero in her eyes.
"Thank you, Long Tian."
