Chapter 60: THE WRATH OF FRANK BLACKWOOD
Layla was silent for a moment. Harlow giving a statement about her family, the biggest family in Hawkhalls would really skyrocket their company better than before. The Blackwoods are people who are not on the news or in any magazine unless Frank has made more money or achieved a goal.
Having juicy news about the things happening in the family was a huge deal.
But Lay didn’t feel like it was right to treat her best friend and family that way, no matter what had happened. Family feuds and conflicts should remain in the family and stay that way. They could resolve their conflict or decide to be enemies forever, but no one deserves the right to know.
"Harl, are you sure you want this? Your family is known as the biggest family in all of Hawkhalls, tarnishing their image will not do anything good for you." Lay tried to talk her friend out of the drastic decision she was about to make. This wasn’t necessary at all.
"This wouldn’t cause any damage as the one they have already done to me. What about me? What about my name that’s been tarnished by my family every day?" Harlow smiled. "I’m always the scapegoat for their propaganda and schemes. I’m done with them. If you will not publish my confessions, I might as well go to another news company to publish it."
"You know that’s not what meant."
"Then take my confession Lay," Harlow demanded and Layla quickly started interviewing her. After the interview, Lay escorted Harlow out of the building. She couldn’t believe everything Harlow said. How can Frank be so heartless to his child?
Harlow was like the kicking bag in the family. The stupid animal who gets to do all of the work while others take glory for it.
"I want it published today Lay. This morning even, don’t take anything out of everything I said." Layla nodded. She watched her friend step back into her car and drove away.

Over At The Blackwood’s Mansion,
Frank was going crazy as both he and his assistant went through the damages caused by the hacker. The same person had hacked into their system last week but the damage wasn’t as bad as last night. This time it is software worth billions they have destroyed and all of a sudden, Miss H was no longer responding to Lance’s text.
There’s only one person that can do this to him. Only one person he had in mind...
His business rival Shaun King...
They have somehow managed to turn Miss H against him and use her to destroy his company. She’s the only professional hacker that can hack his system.
Frank gritted his teeth at his thought.
"Sir, this is not good," Lance said walking towards his boss. Frank is surely going to have a heart attack someday because of this man.
"What is it this time?" Frank asked.
"Your daughter Miss Harlow..."
"Is she dead already? Good for her, at least let her rest with her mother. I don’t have the time for her shenanigans."
"No sir that’s not it. Miss Harlow has made a statement to the press about last night. She claims you stole her jewel and made five billion off it." Frank groaned slightly. That girl is really a pain in the ass.
"Where is she?"
"I... I have no idea, sir." Lance responded.
Frank picked up his cell phone and dialed a number. "Bring Harlow back home right now." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"Yes sir." The person on the other end responded and hung up. He got into his car and went ahead to fetch Harlow Blackwood.
"Label the news outlets as liars and clear the news about me and my family online. Send a message to Vlade that his company will be shut down by tomorrow if they do not apologize for spreading fake rumors." Lance nodded and did as instructed.
This is a little challenge, it is nothing he cannot handle. Frank thought to himself. As for that stubborn daughter of his, he would break her wings and destroy everything she thinks she has to go against him.
"Find out about Harlow’s bank accounts, I want them all seized, including her houses and the little business she decided to start. She will return to this house and will marry Mr Eagle whether she likes it or not." Frank declared.
"Yes sir." Lance hurried out of the man’s office. The last thing anyone would dare do is go against the most powerful man in all of Hawkhalls. No one dared challenge him.
In less than an hour, the bodyguards returned with Harlow by their side. She knew this would happen and she had prepared for it. For now, her father has no idea she was the one responsible for destroying his empire. His empire is on the brink of crashing and if word gets out, Frank Blackwood will no longer be seen as a powerful man anymore.
After all, everything he thinks he has is all thanks to her mother. If she hadn’t decided to marry a man like this, she would have been in a better place now. She may not have known her mother, but she’s heard stories about her.
Harlow was dragged by the arm to her father’s office. The guards shoved her in and closed the door.
You could have called," she said coolly, brushing imaginary dust from her sleeve. "Instead of dragging me here like a criminal."
"I did call," Frank replied, his voice dangerously low. "Many times this morning. But you chose to ignore it."
"Why would I answer?" Harlow shot back. "After the humiliation you caused me last night?"
"The humiliation you caused yourself," Frank sneered, stepping closer to her. His towering figure radiated anger, but Harlow refused to back down.
She held her ground, her voice steady. "And what humiliation is that, Father? Standing up for myself? Calling out your theft? Or exposing the lies you’ve built this family’s so-called empire on?"
Frank stopped inches away from her, his jaw tight with barely contained rage. "I’m not here to exchange words with you, Harlow." He turned on his heel, returning to his desk to retrieve the morning’s newspaper.
He slapped the paper onto the table with such force it echoed through the room. On the front page was her interview, every word of her confession laid bare for the world to see.
"What is the meaning of this?" he roared.
