Chapter 78: Don’t Touch My Zhishu

Zhishu He didn’t repulse or reply. His head felt heavy as if drowned. He didn’t even sure what he was feeling about Ziyu Ai but still, he allowed things to come to this far.

Ziyu Ai let go of Zhishu He, caressed his lightly swollen lips with his fingers. “It tastes sweet,” Ziyu Ai smiled, “I might be into egg tarts in the future.”

Zhishu He felt a bit tired, he evasively turned away to hug the dog and sunk into the couch.

Ziyu Ai said nothing, but grabbed his phone, meaning to ask why the flowers he ordered haven’t arrived yet. But the moment he picked his phone up, a call came in.

It was the haunting Wenxu Jiang. Ziyu Ai was so annoyed that he even wanted to smash the phone onto the ground.

“I need to go out for this phone call; you lie here for a while.” Ziyu Ai pointed at his phone and said to Zhishu He.

It kept ringing and the call hung up automatically when Ziyu Ai got upstairs but it rang again less than ten seconds later.

“What do you want?” Ziyu Ai asked in a cold tone.

Wenxu Jiang sounded calm but furtively happy. “The bone marrow donor has agreed to donate again but he just needs another week.”

Ziyu Ai sneered but his tone reminded the same, as chilling as ice. “That’s good... so President Jiang, could you please call me when everything’s ready? There’s another week, right?”

Voices came from the other side of the phone after a long pause. “I see...” He said in the helpless and forbearing way as if he was resigned, “I want to say a few words to him.”

“You can keep wanting.” Ziyu Ai mocked.

Wenxu Jiang didn’t get upset, but asked somehow imploringly, “Has he been doing fine lately?” f𝘳e𝒆w𝗲𝐛𝘯𝐨νe𝚕.co𝓶

“How can he not? No one is torturing him here; no one is breaking his heart here. He wouldn’t end up like this if he lived this life earlier.”

Wenxu Jiang said nothing; he didn’t try to refute. He could stand this mild mockery in exchange for any bit of information on Zhishu He.

“Today is his birthday... Please keep his company for me; I was there for him on every of his birthday. He would feel bad if no one’s there for him.”

Wenxu Jiang provoked Ziyu Ai very easily, he turned his anger into laughter. “How thoughtful of you, President Jiang. What a sophisticated lover you are! But sorry, he ate his birthday cake before noon and he had his birthday present.”

But he couldn’t hold his anger down much longer. He had put up with Wenxu Jiang for very long. He considered Wenxu Jiang the cheekiest man he had ever seen. He didn’t cherish Zhishu when he owned him and threw his true love into the trash can. And here he claimed he was the most faithful man on earth when he lost Zhishu, he was probably thinking to himself, why can’t they go back to what they were after admitting his mistakes, after being willing to make amends? What a prick.

“Are you done now, President Jiang? I’ll need to look after him during his afternoon sleep and massage his waist. He was tired out last night.” Ziyu didn’t intend to provoke Wenxu Jiang with this. It was quite vulgar; even he himself despised what he said. But Wenxu Jiang never failed to bring out the worst of him. 𝗳𝗿𝐞ℯ𝙬𝗲𝗯n𝗼νel.𝒄𝑜𝘮

Wenxu Jiang suddenly raised up his voice and it was trembling in disbelief. “Did-did you touch him?!”

“We’ve been together for a long time. It wasn’t the first time last night anyway. It was a normal thing, wasn’t it?” Ziyu Ai sounded calm and smiley. “Do you need me to wish him a happy birthday? If you don’t, I’ll hang up now.”

Wenxu Jiang was stunned; the phone slipped off his hand and banged on the floor. He paralyzed into the couch without knowing what he was thinking or doing. He put everything on the tea table in order almost manically but in the end, he couldn’t help bursting into tears with hands covering his face. He mumbled, “Please... Please don’t... Don’t touch my Zhishu...”

Wenxu Jiang was about to have a mental breakdown; he couldn’t dare to think; he couldn’t stand anyone touching Zhishu He. Wenxu Jiang was extremely possessive; he couldn’t allow anyone to touch what was his. Back in the days when he took Zhishu to a business meal, he would break someone’s arm if they tried to get Zhishu He drunk and flirt with him. He would get upset if Zhishu came home a bit later than usual. He would go crazy if Zhishu got a bit close with someone else. But now, a man just told him that he had entirely owned his precious, he kept him, fondled and hugged him for more than once.

“It can’t be true... It mustn’t be true...” Wenxu Jiang reached to pills and tried to comfort his heart with gibberish. “Zhishu He wouldn’t allow him to be touched.”

“It’ll be fine... When he gets better, I’ll take him back... I’ll be very very good to him.” Wenxu Jiang curled himself up, his whole body quivering. He sounded muffled as if he was talking to his inner self. “Even if what Ziyu Ai said is true... I don’t care, I don’t care...”

As long as Zhishu was happy, he didn’t care.

Wenxu Jiang was supposed to be cheered up today as Xia Cheng’s operation was a success. Not until everything was settled, did Zekun Li call him, he said that person had taken that 1 million, he was ready for the second donation one more week later. Wenxu Jiang was thinking at the moment that today was Zhishu He’s birthday; this uplifting message indicated good omens. But unexpectedly, extreme joy begot sorrow.

Zhishu He was dozing when Ziyu Ai got downstairs with one hand on the Golden Retriever. It was a beautiful hand, it had long and slender fingers and the glow on his third finger bewildered Ziyu Ai’s heart.

He walked up to him slowly with a heavy mind. He didn’t feel a thing when he heard the words bone marrow again after two months.

The late love and compensation was less than weeds.

Ziyu Ai grabbed up his hand on the dog and smiled at him. “Don’t pet the dog anymore. Wash your hands; it’s lunchtime.”
