Chapter 248: Prisoners I
The Deceiver.
The White Ascender decided to call the Crimson Ruinborn by that title, stating that anyone who joined him in trying to break out of the Cosmic Tower would likely end up dead.
The challenge of the Apex of the Infinite Cosmic Tower.
Alexander nodded at the words of the White Ascender as he got up and began walking toward the white-gold throne.
The legacy that held cosmic gems—the ones this being had left behind.
"I will begin my own ascension toward the peak of the Infinite Cosmic Tower, gather information regarding your killer, and when I finish destroying his weavings of existence, I'll let you know."
…!
He spoke such words casually, while the figure of the White Ascender—once more frozen in shock at the absurdity—simply nodded.
Alexander approached the white-gold throne, his will lingering on the incandescent gems laid out upon it.
If they were interesting enough, he might incorporate them into his own gem recipe. At this moment, he could freely design Empyreal Cosmic Gems based on any Tao!
But right now, he was focusing inward, spreading the features of the Investigator and the Peacemaker across the Infinite Cosmic Tower.
He passed three cosmic beings locked in their own discussions, completely unaware of him as he continued ascending with his will.
He wanted to see if the features of the Enneagram had grown so terrifyingly vast that they could possibly cover the entire tower.
But more than that…there was something he wanted to do.
—
Hundreds of millions of light years away from Alexander's clone that stood with the White Ascender Arthur.
Inside a small galaxy, Alexander's main body lay back on a field of lush greenery, staring up at three dazzling suns whose rays bathed him and Claire.
Claire, at this moment, was among the rare beings experiencing a terrifying surge of power due to another feature of the Enneagram. The stronger he was, the stronger those closest to him became… especially those with whom he shared a powerful bond.
Right now, Claire had her hand on her chest as she felt the birth of thousands of universes every single second.
She lay down quietly as natural authority from all around converged, flowing into her body, accommodating the constant influx of more universes.
As this happened, Alexander kept his eyes on the distant suns and asked.
"Would you try to break out of the confines of a tower that's kept you trapped for who knows how long? Would you wonder who made it and for what purpose?"
He seemed lost in philosophical thoughts.
Claire, on the other hand, smiled as she sat up.
She looked at his figure, still lying on his back, then leaned over to play with his hair, gazing directly into his eyes as she responded.
"I was just a simple girl in a small world not too long ago. I knew nothing about galaxies or even universes. And now? Now I have them blooming inside of me. All my life, all I knew were Gem Masters and Beasts. I knew I would live, and I would die. But now, after gaining all this power through you, I don't know what my lifespan will be. I don't know about any confines—not even right now. I can go wherever I want. For me, it's a matter of perspective…and the most powerful, complex existences are inside this so-called Infinite Cosmic Tower have their own perspectives."
…!
A matter of perspective.
Claire said this as she leaned down and kissed his forehead before continuing:
"A poor farmer or a regular human who never awakened as a Gem Master would only ever know the city they lived in or the world they were born into. Within that world, they would live and die. But you, my love… you're not a normal human, and you're certainly not a farmer. Your mind is different. Your vision is different. You see things others can't. While a normal person might only understand how free they think they are, you might actually see it. You may think you were bound and imprisoned—but if you want to break those shackles and expand your vision, then I say do it. In the meantime, I'll be here, always. And based on the thousands of universes blooming inside me every second, I'd say I'm going to have many, many years to be by your side…"
Her words were sweet. Alexander smiled and closed his eyes, his main body basking in the light of the three suns—already fully aware of what he was doing.
Most of his Empyreal Clones remained in the Temporal Enneagram Space, but he had released three. These were now speeding through the Infinite Cosmic Tower, ascending higher and higher as his will continued spreading, carried by the features of the Peacemaker and the Investigator.
Three of him would act, with the one at the center keeping his original appearance, while the clones to his left and right bore different builds—entirely different people, by all appearances.
He did this for the sake of efficiency, as the Peacemaker feature gathered records of more and more cosmic beings the higher his will ascended through the tower until.
HUUM!
His will buzzed as it encountered a wave—no, clusters of complex energy.
Domains with dozens of cosmic entities moving within them.
Regions adorned with colossal structures, saturated with the Authorities of Ruin and Primordial Cosmic Taos!

Entire buildings as massive as worlds or suns, forged entirely from crystallized Authorities of Primordial Cosmic Taos.
Alexander watched as dozens of cosmic entities drifted around these terrifying monuments. And further ahead—seated at the center of a crimson pillar of ruin—was a figure he recognized.
One he'd seen through the weavings of the White Ascender Arthur.
The Unweaver.
The Peacemaker feature began recording, its first entry being this grand location—an expanse of titanic structures and crystallized Tao Authorities.
This place was called…
[The Choir of Ruin and Primordiality]
…!
The Choir.
This was where the Crimson Ruinborn resided, surrounded by dozens of cosmic entities. And it looked to be near the very peak of the Infinite Cosmic Tower.
A peak that was about to fall under Alexander's gaze as he prepared to see, firsthand, what so many had tried to shatter just to escape this boundless tower!
