Chapter 175 - Something Happened
Chapter 175: Something Happened
Qiao Zihao had only brought the small rabbit plushie with him. Cheng Yang took the initiative to buy daily necessities for him. Before Xiao Ying could say anything, the two of them had already left.
Xiao Ying found it strange, but it was a good thing that they were getting along, so she went to the laboratory alone.
She had not come for the past few days. The laboratory research had fallen onto Yan Kun and the others, but they had completed it very well.
Xiao Ying picked up a half-finished product. It was something that looked like a helmet. There was a metallic glow flickering on its surface. Xiao Ying’s expression slowly turned dark. This was what she planned to use to deal with this fake amulet. It was just that it was still short of something. However, she would not sit idly by. f𝙧𝒆𝚎𝑤e𝚋𝓷o𝘷𝗲l.c𝐨m
Halfway through the experiment, the amulet suddenly said anxiously, “Master, I can’t detect the destined energy source’s location anymore. Go and find him quickly.” ƒ𝗿e𝘦𝚠𝗲𝚋n𝚘ν𝙚𝗹.𝑐o𝙢
Xiao Ying paused in her actions. Tian Lan asked in confusion, “What’s wrong?”
Xiao Ying shook her head and handed the work to her. “I need to head out, I have something to deal with.”
After leaving some instructions, she quickly left the laboratory.
At this time, Cheng Yang should be at the office. Xiao Ying moved faster, afraid that something would happen to him again.
When she arrived at the office, she happened to meet Cheng Yang’s special assistant. After confirming that he was there, Xiao Ying was relieved.
The amulet became even more shocked. “How come I still can’t detect his location?”
Xiao Ying raised her eyebrows and said, “He is indeed in the office. Are you short of energy?”
The amulet urged her to go up and check.
Xiao Ying had originally planned to go upstairs anyway, so she headed to the President’s office.
This floor was a little deserted. She knocked on the office door, but no one answered.
Xiao Ying found it strange and opened the door.
The office immediately came into view. Cheng Yang was lying on the ground, unconscious. Qiao Zihao was standing behind him with a small knife in his hand.
“What are you doing?” Xiao Ying walked in quickly, pushed Qiao Zihao to the side, and patted Cheng Yang’s face.
“Brother, Brother, Cheng Yang!”
She called out a few times, but his eyes remained closed and showed no reaction.
Xiao Ying said anxiously, “What did you just do?”
Qiao Zihao had been pushed to the ground. He pursed his lips and said nothing.
Xiao Ying called someone to send Cheng Yang to the hospital. Qiao Zihao wanted to follow her, but Xiao Ying refused.
This time, her heart did not soften. She looked at Qiao Zihao and said, “I don’t care what you are, but I won’t allow you to hurt Cheng Yang.”
Qiao Zihao’s mouth moved slightly as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he said nothing.
Xiao Ying ignored him and took Cheng Yang to the hospital. After checking, the doctor said that there was nothing wrong.
Xiao Ying did not believe the doctor and personally checked. There was indeed nothing wrong. These symptoms resembled those of Qiao Zihao when he was unconscious.
She did not leave Cheng Yang in the hospital. Instead, she took him home and bumped into Qiao Zihao at the door.
Qiao Zihao sat on the stone steps by the door, frowning and looking a little uneasy.
Xiao Ying watched him from afar and did not make a sound. He looked up.
“Sister.”
He quickly walked up to her and stopped when he noticed her cold expression.
Xiao Ying closed her eyes and said, “Come in with me.”
The two entered the house. With the help of Cheng Yang’s personal assistant, Xiao Ying carried Cheng Yang to his room and laid him down. Then she walked out the door and went to the living room. She asked, “Don’t you have anything you want to tell me?”
Qiao Zihao looked a little hesitant as he said, “Sister, I didn’t hurt Mr. Cheng Yang. Trust me.”
Xiao Ying said, “How can I trust you?”
Even if she had misunderstood the situation at the office, Cheng Yang was still lying there in a coma, and the only person who knew the situation was Qiao Zihao. Yet he refused to say a word.
Qiao Zihao said nothing more.
