Chapter 11: Right makes wrong

Chapter 11

Several families stared at each other, and then glanced towards - Ji Ruochu, who was still snoring away.

"Ruo Ruo... Ruo Ruo..." Ji Mochen gently called out his daughter's name with great patience.

Ji Ruochu: ZZZzzz~

Bullet Screen: Hahaha, she's asleep, don't disturb.

"Sorry, it's her nap time now. She was already dozing off in the car earlier but insisted on staying awake until getting off. " Ji Mochen explained as he carried his daughter and moved forward to receive the silver hoop.

Recalling the rules of the game explained earlier by the Village Chief, he held Ji Ruochu with one hand while his other hand holding the silver hoop took out some wet wipes from his pocket.

After carefully wiping the hoop, he slipped it around Ji Ruochu's neck.

It had to be said, the little one looked quite fashionable in her princess dress paired with the silver hoop.

【Latest trendy dress-up.】

【So it's all about the aura of the wearer that brings out the best in the clothes and accessories. Just look at our Ruo Ruo carrying off the princess dress and vintage silver hoop with ease.】

【Am I the only one noticing Ji Mochen's growth? He even apologized to everyone.】

【I get it too, especially the way he wiped the silver hoop with wet wipes, such thoughtfulness, he's a wonderful dad.】

"Alright, now that the treasures are in your hands, follow your dads to go find your rooms. Do you have confidence in locating them quickly?"

Other four cute babies: Yes!

Sleeping Ji Ruochu: ZZZzzz~

And so, the families started searching for their assigned rooms according to the map in their tour guidebook, bringing much joy and laughter to the live studio.

Jin village boasted beautiful natural scenery and simple folk traditions. The only downside for the families...was the rugged, hilly terrain.

One moment they were climbing slopes, the next scrambling up stairways, and occasionally having to pass through narrow paths. It quickly exhausted the families.

The other children were older and could take some of the burden by walking on their own. But it posed a greater challenge for Ji Mochen with a sleeping baby in his arms.

Besides two large suitcases and two backpacks, he also had to carry his sweet sleeping daughter, looking from afar like a walking little mountain.

At this point, the live chat was filled with sympathy, but unexpectedly, Ji Mochen as the person involved showed no signs of fatigue at all.

Instead, he even paused occasionally to pat his daughter's back when she stirred uneasily, displaying a gentle loving side belying his tough exterior.

Fortunately, he was lucky and soon found Room 3 that he had drawn. The live audience heaved a collective sigh of relief along with Ji Mochen.

【What a relief to have found it so quickly. From what I saw of the other live streams, Ji is the first to locate his room.】

【Haha, Ruo Ruo's still not awake after her long nap?】

【LOL, for a moment I saw Ruo Ruo start to rub her eyes but was lulled back to sleep by her dad.】

【Huh? They found the place already, why aren't they going in but standing outside instead?】

This bullet screen drew everyone's attention to the peculiar sight of Ji Mochen pacing around the room entrance looking utterly confused before turning to the camera.

"Did any of you spot the silver hoop around my daughter's neck earlier?"

......

【Oh, he was asking the cameraman, I thought he was speaking to us.】

【Wait...silver hoop?】

All eyes zoomed in on the soundly sleeping baby.

【You're right, the silver hoop on her neck is gone!】

【Does anyone with sharp eyes recall when she dropped it?】

【Didn't notice...I was too busy ogling Ji's bulging muscles as he lugged the luggage.】

【Sister upstairs, I advise you to be careful with your words. If you insist on posting, please attach a screenshot.】

【Hahaha, found the house but lost the passcode item?】

【Good news: Room located.】

【Bad news: Entry pass missing.】

......

In contrast to the lively audience, Ji Mochen could only see darkness before him.

"So I have to walk all the way back to the Village Chief's house for a replacement pass now?" Ji Mochen asked the staff beside him.

The cameraman nodded sympathetically, equally exhausted lugging his work gear while Ji Mochen had to carry his daughter.

"Fine...let's go then. Can I leave my luggage here first?"

"Sure." The staff quickly agreed, secretly amazed that the usually hot-tempered Ji did not flare up.

And so, the online audience proceeded to "hahaha" while watching Ji Mochen trudge back with his daughter in his arms.

Time slowly ticked by until the other families had found their respective rooms before Ji Mochen finally got the spare key to head back.

Along the way, the slumbering Ji Ruochu finally stirred awake. As the little one rubbed her eyes and straightened up in her dad's arms, viewer counts surged to a new high.

【Here it comes, close-up of the cute baby! I wanna see how much her eyes resemble his.】

【OMG! How can she be so adorable? Those tiny dimples on her fists as she rubs her eyes ahhh!】

【Kyaaa! Too cute! Mom, I want an adorable baby just like her!】

......

While the live chat celebrated as if New Year had arrived, the now awake Ji Ruochu glanced around the unfamiliar surroundings confusedly:

"Dad~ where are we?" she asked in her tiny voice, instantly drawing more bullet screens.

"Daddy is taking Ruo Ruo to find our room. I lost the key so I just went to the Village Chief's house to get a spare one."

As Ji Mochen huffed and puffed while explaining, Ji Ruochu's brows furrowed for a moment before she stretched out her fair, chubby hand to point at Ji Mochen and uttered bluntly in her milk voice, "Stupid."

Ji Mochen who was rushing along: ...... shot straight through the heart.

Having said that, the little one tilted her head and peered down at the silver hoop, grasping it while asking: "This?"

"Yes, that's right, you must hold on to it tight Ruo Ruo, or we can't get in without it." Ji Mochen managed a pained smile as he accepted the "stupid" label from his daughter.

As they talked, father and daughter finally neared Room 3.

"See that, Ruo Ruo? Our new home."

Hearing him, Ji Ruochu followed his pointing finger. But just as she turned her head, a flash of light caught her eye.

Hmm?

"Dad, hoop!"

The little girl pointed towards the grass where sunlight had glanced off something and exclaimed.

Hoop?

What hoop?

Puzzled, Ji Mochen walked over in the direction she pointed. There, he discovered -

An identical silver hoop lying quietly among the grass by the roadside.

For a moment, the bullet screens froze, before -

【Hahahahahahaha】

【My belly laughs are making the chickens cluck for miles around!】

【Good news: After walking for half an hour, finally got a spare hoop from the Village Chief.】

【More good news: The lost hoop from half an hour ago was found at the front door!】

【Positive negative, such a sad story.】
