Chapter 19: Where the hell did you get the sand money
Chapter 19
Chloe did not know that she was branded as a little pervert by the Commandant as soon as she entered the academy. She was genuinely very interested in Ren Yunying's long whip in her hand.
She had always been extremely enthusiastic about cold weapons. The whip in Ren Yunying's hand was exquisitely crafted and ingeniously designed. Chloe simply could not take her eyes off this long whip.
It was not until Ren Yunying could not stand it anymore and specifically called out Chloe's name before she finally snapped back to her senses.
"Chloe."
Ren Yunying's voice carried a hint of hoarse magnetism that was very recognizable.
Upon hearing her own name, Chloe finally lifted her head up. The young girl's small face was fair and beautiful. She responded crisply: "Here!"
Ren Yunying's expression was somewhat complicated. She looked at the young girl, hesitated for a long time, and barely nodded: "Not bad, you know to report your presence when your name is called, you have some discipline."
After speaking, she whipped her long whip and neatly tucked it into the holster around her waist.
Visibly, the girl's expression dimmed for a moment.
Ren Yunying: "..."
She felt that she could not stay with the Vampires any longer. Ren Yunying walked to the front of the Human Race's queue and beckoned:
"Follow me."
The cubs had just arrived at The No.1 Military Academy for the first time. They obediently followed behind Ren Yunying, thinking they were going to be taken to get their dormitory assignments. Along the way, looking at the relatively simple buildings around them, they were somewhat disappointed.
In the end, Ren Yunying did not take them to the dormitory building at all, but went straight to the training ground instead.
The No.1 Military Academy was ordinary in every other way, except for its exceptionally luxurious training ground with complete facilities. Just the tracks were nearly 5,000 meters long. The lawn in between was not left idle either, with training equipment in plain sight everywhere.
Ren Yunying held a whistle in her mouth and paced to the front of these cubs:
"Do you see the tracks here? 5 km, if you can't finish running it within 25 minutes, you will forfeit your accommodation and meals for today."
As her voice fell, whispers immediately arose among the cubs.
5 km within 25 minutes?
The cubs looked at each other, all with somewhat awkward expressions.
Before entering The No.1 Military Academy, the noble cubs' families had arranged some special training for them, but the intensity was not high. 5 km was still somewhat challenging for most cubs.
Except for the Werewolf Race, who were always known for their physical fitness.
They had muscle at this age that was beyond what everyone else could imagine. They were raring to go, vowing to regain the upper hand in this long run.
Ren Yunying ignored the resentful cubs and had them stand in position on the tracks. She then casually brought over a chair for herself, sat down relaxedly with legs crossed, and sharply blew the whistle.
With the whistle sounding, the cubs on the tracks rushed forward one after another.
After all, they had already witnessed the scene of Ren Yunying disciplining the Werewolf Race. No one dared to try that again.
The tall Werewolves with long legs darted out as soon as the whistle sounded. Each of their steps covered three of the others, and they vanished in the blink of an eye.
The children of the Human Race were mostly of military academy descent. Even though they were young and had not undergone such high intensity training, they still had resolute expressions and steady, measured steps.
Those trailing behind were the Vampires and Elves.
The Elves were pampered and arrogant. Their elders at home probably did not bear to let them get their wings and clothes dirty by making them work on the ground.
So they were all panting heavily, faces flushed red.
Most of the Vampires came from noble families. They were inherently physically strong, but had been spoiled rotten by their families and were unruly. They ran while cursing nonstop, with vulgarities spewing continuously from their mouths.
Chloe and Anderson were running at the very front of the entire Vampire pack, leading this group of resentful Vampire cubs in the run.
She did not speak or manage her fellow Vampires behind her, but maintained a steady pace to lead them to run about 500 meters before slowly picking up speed.
The curses of the Vampire cubs paused for a beat before gritting their teeth to keep up.
Unexpectedly, after another 300 meters or so, Chloe sped up again in front.
The cubs had no choice but to completely shut their mouths and hasten their steps once more.
Later, when she felt the cubs had basically gotten used to the running, Chloe completely let loose and sprinted forward at full speed!
The cubs behind collectively faltered before madly chasing after Chloe.
The Vampires were a race with an extremely strong sense of hierarchy. The top rulers had the final say, while the bottom subordinates obeyed orders. This management method had its pros and cons, so what they needed most was a leader who was wise and excellent enough.
From the very start, Ren Yunying had noticed the queue of Vampires.
She could feel that although the little girl leading the Vampires was a bit perverted, her ability was absolutely formidable and she could not have fallen behind at the start.
Sure enough, when Chloe began to gradually pick up speed, Ren Yunying reacted. She was giving those Vampire cubs behind her time to adapt. 𝚏𝚛ee𝐰𝗲𝚋n𝐨𝘃𝗲l.𝐜𝐨m
If she had sprinted forward from the beginning, the cubs would not have been able to keep up and would have tired themselves out prematurely by forcing themselves to run.
Watching the line of Vampire cubs that looked like little chicks chasing after the mother hen, Ren Yunying pondered for a moment before making a check mark after Chloe's name.
There was still a long way to go until the finish line.
The Vampire cubs all had ferocious expressions, purely driven by instinct to chase Chloe. Some fell to the ground but got back up by rolling to the side, before continuing to rush forward.
The line of Vampires was very messy but they all followed closely.
Halfway through, Chloe slowed down to give these cubs a chance to rest.
She vaguely heard someone calling her from behind but turned a deaf ear.
These children were still too pampered. They did not properly regulate their breathing while running, but instead cursed loudly, wasting their energy in vain.
Even now, as soon as they slowed down, they could not help but start calling out "Young Miss".
Still too tender, they needed more training.
Thinking this, Chloe turned to look at Anderson beside her.
He had maintained the same speed as her from beginning to end, sticking close by her side without falling back at all.
Sensing her gaze, Anderson turned his head to look at her, eyes somewhat puzzled.
Chloe arched her brows but did not speak.
She vaguely felt that Anderson's limit was not here. If there was time, Chloe wanted to run a round alone with him.
Just then, a gust of wind came from behind.
Chloe was slightly startled. She glanced back and saw it was the Werewolf leader.
The Werewolf leader had a taunting smile at the corner of his mouth. To prove his prowess, he even crossed his hands behind his head and ran backwards to show off.
Seeing that Chloe only looked at him expressionlessly without any reaction, the Werewolf leader grew somewhat angry.
He stretched out his arm towards Chloe while running backwards, and forcefully flexed his biceps at her, showing off his muscles and waving his hand threateningly.
Chloe: "..."
She imperceptibly averted her gaze. Where did this country bumpkin pop out from?
