"Hello baby, I'll be leaving for work early tomorrow morning." Mrs. Qin informed her.

"That won't be a problem. I will make the sweet dessert for you, and come personally to deliver it to you at the hospital." Jia Li promised.

"That's fine by me. I would have loved you to give some to your dad, but he wouldn't want you to go to the construction site." Mrs. Qin said to her.

"Dad will certainly not agree, so I will keep his share, so he can eat it when he comes back." Jia Li replied.

"Okay, good night!." Mrs. Qin said to her before walking out of the room.

Jia Li sighed in relief from the fact that her mother had left her room. Thinking about the events of the evening, Jia Li smiled to herself and rolled on her bed. Then discovering that her reaction was not appropriate, she stopped rolling in the bed. Her smile paused as well as she got out of bed and went to sit on her desk. She has work to do.

The next morning, Jia Li's parents left early to their various workplaces, leaving her alone in the house.

Jia Li had college to go to, so after preparing her mother's special order, she had her bath and got dressed. And then with a school bag in hand, she picked up the lunch box and left the house.

She went directly to the hospital to deliver the food box.

"Do you have lectures today?." Mrs. Win asked in surprise after she saw the backpack.

"Yeah. Mum, enjoy the food, I have to leave now." Jia Li said. Then after passing the food box to her with a smile, she quickly left the hospital.

Mrs. Qin sighed as she watched her leave. She wasn't even able to say, 'thanks to her. And if she knew she had lectures today, she wouldn't have asked her to make food for her. It was too late to regret.

"I'd better eat this when it's still hot." Mrs. Qin said in a low tone before turning around to walk back to her office.

Li Huan did not call Jia Last night, or in the morning of the next day, he patiently waited till evening before he called.

And Jia Li on the other hand has been waiting for his call, but that didn't mean she would get distracted when lectures were ongoing.

After her last lectures, Jia Li left the lecture hall. She was walking on the campus when her phone rang. Checking the caller ID, her heart began to beat fast.

It was shown on her caller ID that Li Huan was the one calling.

Jia Li could feel that her hands were slippery because of the sweat which appeared as a result of her being nervous.

Jia Li answered the call but remained quiet till Li Huan spoke from the other side of the phone.

"Jia Li, it's Li Huan, how are you?." Li Huan asked in a gentle tone.

"I'm fine." Jia Li managed to reply in a calm tone.

"Where are you now, are you home?." Li Huan asked.

"I'm still in college." Jia Li replied as abs tried to hide her nervous she was.

"Okay, call me when you get back." Li Huan said to her.

When the call ended, Jia Li felt like jumping for joy. She was very excited to hear from Li Huan. He said he would call her later, and he did call. Moreover, she did like his gentle tone.

Jia Li still had this love-struck look on her face, when she noticed a familiar face staring intently at her.

She looked shocked and almost screamed, but she was stopped by the young girl standing in front of her.

"Don't scream!." The girl said in a commanding tone, and Jia Li obeyed.

The girl was tall and had beautiful features. She was taller than Jia Li by a bit. She could very well pass as a model.

"DanDan what are you doing here?." Jia Li asked after she forced the upcoming scream down jer throat.

"I saw a familiar figure from afar, then I guessed, this must be Jia Li. Then as I came closer, your voice confirmed my guess. Tell me, who were you speaking to in a coquettish tone?." DanDan asked with squinted eyes.

She didn't manage to hear everything Jia Li hear what Jia Li talked about on the phone, but she managed to catch all her expressions.

"What coquettish tone?." Jia Li denied flatly.

"Don't worry, you don't need to tell me. With time, I will find out." DanDan said to her with a smile that was not a smile.

Jia Li smiled back at her, she didn't look like someone who was hiding anything.

DanDan observed for a while, and seen that she wouldn't be able to get anything from her, she finally gave up. She linked arms with Jia Li, and the two walked towards the campus gate.

They two chatted for a while till they parted ways since they were both going in different directions.

"At least I was not caught." Jia Li said to herself.

DanDan was in the Art Faculty, and she was aspiring to be a model. She has done a few photoshoots, but she was still not popular, but her college mates knew her dreams.

When Jia Li was walking down the street which was close to her house, she met Li Huan. And this was a total coincidence.

Li Huan went to buy some vitamin supplements for his mother, and he was on his way back when he saw the familiar figure.

"Jia Li!." Li Huan called out with a smile before Jia Ki could call out to him.

"Brother Li Huan." Jia Li called out in a gentle tone as they two met.

"How was college today?." Li Huan asked, striking up a conversation.

"It was fine." Jia Li gave a simple reply. She was still nervous. After receiving his call today in school, and then seeing him the next hour, she didn't know how to react.
