She suddenly remembered that Onion had not licked her for a long time.
To be more precise, it had been a long time since it last licked her at night.
During the day, Onion would stick to her, either licking her fingers or climbing up to lick her cheeks.
However, Onion did not behave like this at night. Instead, they were more energetic and did not eat dog food or bite its teething stick. It acted more like... people.
This thought made He Miao shiver. She felt that she must be overthinking it.
Perhaps this was just Onion’s personality?
He Miao did not have time to think too much about it. There was class this morning. For the sake of this monthly test, she had been studying hard every day, and finally, there was a small effect.
When she left the house, the driver had already gone to send He Feng and He Wei off.
It was said that He Wei had a shoot today, so everyone had gone as well and no one remembered that He Miao was at home.
However, she did not mind. Just as she was about to head out to hail a taxi, a figure suddenly rushed out from the corner.
He Miao jumped in fright and dodged, but the man stopped steadily in front of her and bowed respectfully.
“Miss He Miao, I’m Aunt Liu’s relative. I heard that Aunt Liu has made you unhappy and caused a big trouble. I’m here to apologize on her behalf.” The man took out an envelope and handed it to her. “This is your compensation.”
He Miao opened the envelope suspiciously. It was exactly 10000 bucks, which surprised her.
“I know.” He Miao nodded. She should accept the money, so she was not embarrassed at all.
The man watched as He Miao left, then made a call. “It’s me, I’ve settled the matter.”
The butler turned around and nodded with a smile. “Young Master, it’s done.”
Jing Yan looked away coldly. It was good that she accepted it. That way, the strange feeling in his heart would disappear.
She had saved him, and he had returned the favor. From then on, they did not owe each other anything. When he returned to normal, they would still be strangers who would not have any interaction.
The first thing He Miao did when he got home was to look at Onion, who was alone at home.
The dog sniffed and knew it was He Miao. It jumped out of bed, ignoring its injuries, and satin front of the door to wait for her.
He Miao’s heart ached as she picked it up. Looking at the large blisters and pus on its back, she could not say the words she wanted to reprimand it for running and jumping around.
She rubbed its little head and fed it a whole bowl of dog food. She stroked its round belly and her heart was full of happiness. 𝐟𝐫𝗲𝙚w𝚎𝐛𝙣𝐨𝙫𝘦𝗹.c૦m
Perhaps this was the greatest joy of dog owners.
“Onion, you haven’t gone out to play in a long time. Let me carry you out, okay?” He Miao changed the gauze and applied the ointment on it, then carefully held it up. f𝔯ℯe𝓌ℯ𝐛𝒏𝐨ѵel.c𝚘𝐦
Onion understood the words “go out and play”. No matter how painful its body was, as long as it heard the words, it would be energetic immediately.
He Miao laughed at its playfulness, but she was afraid that the leash would rub against its burn, so she could only hold it tightly.
There was a park near the villa area. He Miao always passed by the park on her way to school, but she had never been there even once.
This was an opportunity.
She carried Onion and slowly walked into the park. This was a good place for walking dogs. The sky was not very bright, but there were still many people walking their dogs and chatting.
He Miao found a random swing and sat down. It was quite interesting to carry the dog on the swing.
“Woof woof.”
Onion poked it head out and looked around curiously. It wanted to jump to the ground a few times but was stopped by He Miao.
“Is this little dog injured?” A melodious male voice suddenly rang in his ear. He Miao looked up and saw a man in a white shirt holding a cute Chihuahua.
When Onion saw the Chihuahua, it struggled even more to get off. He Miao was afraid of hurting it, so she let go.
He Miao watched as Onion sniffed around the Chihuahua and apologized, “I’m sorry for disturbing you while you’re walking your dog.”
“It’s fine.” The man squatted down and pet Onion gently.
Normally, Onion would not let strangers touch it easily. However, this time, perhaps it was for the Chihuahua, it did not resist and even acted lovable.
The Chihuahua did not mind Onion’s bare patch. It curiously leaned over and sniffed Onion’s scent. It wagged its tail happily, obviously wanting to be friends with Onion.
As soon as Jing Yan opened his eyes, he saw a white dog head.
