Chapter 306: Chapter 306: She is My Faith!_1
“What?” Han Chengbei was taken aback.
But Nanyin, who was standing beside him, understood and promptly nodded, “Sir, I’ll get right on it.”
Lawson Perry nodded, not stopping him.
Han Chengbei slapped his forehead, “Wait, Lawson, you mean, we spin the public opinion, saying this was all part of Ye Shiting’s plan? Genius! I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. But wait… if we push the blame on Ye Shiting, won’t my baby be affected too?”
After all, his beacon of hope was the brave girl who had saved Ye Shiting from a blazing fire.
Immediately, Han Chengbei became stern, “Lawson, I don’t care how you spin it, but you can’t harm Ye Xingguang!”
“You seem to be particularly concerned about her?”
Of course! Han Chengbei said pretentiously, “She’s my god! She’s my beacon of hope! Without her, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Whoever dares to harm her is my enemy.”
Lawson Perry showed interest, “In love with her, are you? But she’s a married woman, remember? Didn’t you just tell me the other night that you found out her official match is Ye Junqing, and you got a solid slap on your face?”
Han Chengbei was serious, “My love for her transcends genders. It’s worship!” fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
Lawson Perry: “…”
“She is my faith!”
Lawson Perry: “…”
Han Chengbei wanted to continue, but his phone rang – his grandfather wanted him home.
Unable to do anything, Han Chengbei had to leave, but not before specifically emphasizing that his faith should not be harmed.
However, an hour later, Nanyin received a few photographs. Some were of Xia Ye Zhao hugging Ye Xingguang in the hospital, some of him carrying her out of a car at a hotel entrance, and some of them entering a hotel room together.
These photos could easily lead to wild speculation.
“Who sent these?”
Nanyin replied, “Anonymous.”
“Hm…”
Nanyin asked again, “Sir, shall we make these photos public?”
Lawson Perry waved him off, “What do these photos have to do with me? They won’t affect Ye Shiting or Ye Junqing, besides, Han Sen is pursuing Xia Yanyan now.”
Nanyin thought to himself, it made sense not to offend the uncle of his young master’s future partner. It would bring no benefits but only troubles.
Lawson Perry changed the subject, “Last time, I asked you to investigate Ye Xingguang, how did that go?”
Nanyin reported, “I couldn’t find out much about Ye Xingguang’s identity, but I did track down the source of the ten million she gave her ex-boyfriend.”
“Go ahead.” Lawson Perry urged, ready to listen.
Nanyin continued, “The ten million passed through several bank accounts. In tracking the source, I found it shockingly led to Mr. Kuren, a well-known figure at the United Nations. But I couldn’t find any past connections between him and Ms. Ye. I am puzzled. She appears to have no background but always surprises me in unexpected ways.”
“What about her parents?”
Nanyin replied, “Her father is Song Chuanqi, and her mother Bai Lanwu. I couldn’t find anything remarkable about them. Ye Xingguang appears to be their adopted daughter. As for her origins, I didn’t find any leads so far. But given Xia Ye Zhao has shown unusual interest in her, could her background be beyond our imagination?”
