Chapter 432: Dolly Moore

Chapter 432 - 432: Dolly Moore

John sat on the living room sofa, his eyes fixed on Queenie's closed door, a hint of gloom on his face.

Is she distancing herself from me?

Is she wary of me now?

I bet they're in there talking about how handsome I am. If you're going to compliment me, at least do it to my face. No need to whisper behind closed doors, John thought sarcastically.

Just then, Kate popped up from behind the sofa and, catching him off guard, planted a kiss on his cheek.

John didn't dodge.

He didn't even care to.

After kissing him, Kate grinned proudly and said, "Hey, John! No dodging this time? Aren't you going to say Angela will be heartbroken again?"

John rolled his eyes. "Boring."

"Boring?!" Kate's eyes widened with mock fury. "I kissed you and you have the nerve to call me boring? You're bold now, huh?"

John remained quiet, not interested in the drama.

"Apologize!" Kate demanded, arms crossed.

Apologize? For what? John sighed internally. What did I even do?

Still, not wanting to deal with the tantrum, he gave in. "I'm sorry, Kate."

He didn't need to understand what he was apologizing for. With women, especially unreasonable ones, sometimes it was easier to just comply.

"Call me honey," she added, hands on her hips.

John fell silent.

"Hurry up."

"I'm sorry, honey."

Kate nodded, satisfied. "That's better. By the way, where are Queenie and Tracy? I saw them in the living room earlier."

John glanced helplessly toward Queenie's door.

Following his gaze, Kate grinned. "Ohh... I get it now. Closed door in broad daylight, huh? Those two are dobes."

With a teasing smirk, she walked over and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Queenie's voice came from inside.

When she saw it was Kate, she quickly opened the door, yanked Kate inside, and slammed it shut—leaving John out in the cold.

Great. Now there are three dobes.

The three stayed inside for a while. Queenie repeated to Kate what she had earlier told Tracy.

When they emerged, Kate wore a look of mixed emotions.

Tracy walked over and sat beside John. "John, I've made up my mind. I want to join the Cinnabar Sect. Let's head to the Alps Mountains soon!"

John looked at Queenie and immediately guessed she'd been the one to convince Tracy. He nodded and said, "I'll be with you every step of the way."

Truthfully, he supported her decision. This was an important opportunity.

I'll just have to delay the Moore Family situation, he thought.

His original plan had been to visit the Moore Family in the Central Martial Arts League after dealing with the Kingslayer Alliance, hoping to dig up information about Hugh. But Tracy's situation had become more urgent.

Alice's story could wait—it had already been years. But Tracy's pain couldn't.

That same day, he decided to take her to the Cinnabar Sect.

At the Central Martial Arts Alliance—

In the leader's office, Chester wore a grim expression as he read the document in his hand.

Two men stood before him.

One was tall, rigid, and serious-faced—Loneliness, one of the 36 Lords of Oracle, who had visited Chester once before.

The other was Thomson.

Although Chester had not yet been the leader of the Houston Martial Arts League over twenty years ago, and Thomson hadn't yet become the infamous leader of the Shadow Pavilion, the two had met in the past. They knew each other.

Now, seeing Thomson—the once most wanted criminal—walk in with Loneliness at his side, Chester was caught off guard. His instincts screamed danger.

And they were right.

A document from the Oracle Palace, bearing the signature and seal of the U.S. top leader, was presented to Chester.

It declared the establishment of a new division: the Adjudication of the League. Its temporary head?

Thomson.

The very man who had once topped the most wanted list.

This declaration blindsided Chester.

The adjudication branch would fall directly under Oracle Palace's jurisdiction. It had the authority to monitor all Martial Arts League members—regional leaders included.

In other words, Thomson now outranked Chester.

Understandably, Chester was furious.

But there was nothing he could do.

The Oracle Palace hadn't come seeking his opinion—they came to announce the decision. Loneliness made that crystal clear.

So Chester held his tongue.

Once Loneliness and Thomson left, Chester finally snapped.

"Damn it!" he roared, slamming his fist on the desk.

Without wasting a moment, he rushed back to the Moore Family estate. There, he found an old man with gray hair sitting silently.

This was Dolly Moore—Chester's father and the former leader of the Central Martial Arts League.

Chester quickly explained what had happened.

Dolly listened without interruption, his face emotionless.

Then, suddenly—

Boom!

A stone lion statue a few meters away—half the height of a man—shattered into powder with a thunderous crack.

Dolly had smashed it from a distance with a single burst of energy.

His gray hair trembled with suppressed rage. Coldly, he sneered and said, "Very good. So the Oracle Palace dares to play games with our family?"

He paused, his voice growing colder.

"Does the Oracle King really think he's the ruler of the United States?"
