Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Attribute Bias

Over the years, Rosalind Louise has encountered numerous individuals who had awakened the talent of identification.

There was even a senior identifier in the mall who had awakened this talent, but it would take him at least ten minutes to identify a Titanium Ragdoll.

So far as she knew, the only identifier capable of discerning the details of a Titanium Ragdoll in such a short time was David Jones, the one before her.

It's important to know that while talent awakeners can detect a pet's species level and potential, this talent is not omnipotent.

The more knowledgeable the awakener, the faster and more accurate their talent detection is. On the other hand, talent awakeners with less knowledge tend to have low efficiency and their results may not always be accurate.

"Is Crystal the nickname for this Titanium Ragdoll?" David Jones asked softly, looking at the adorable Crystal, seemingly ignoring Rosalind's previous question.

"Yes, it's a nice nickname, isn't it?" Rosalind Louise replied, her voice smooth and her cheeks always adorned with an elegant smile.

"It's a fitting nickname, but Crystal's Arcane Force type doesn't seem to fall within the scope of this test." David gently squeezed Crystal's plump paw and replied.

Indeed, he found this Titanium Ragdoll before him to be more appealing than the sharp, elegant interviewer.

"Meow!" Crystal gave David a few quiet looks, then pulled her chubby paw out of his hand. She seemed to lose interest and buried her head to nap on the table.

"Seems like I disturbed her sleep, and she doesn't like me." David Jones rubbed his head, feeling somewhat disappointed. But he didn't want to use his Dragon Force to rub her, and thus, conserve his energy. f(r)eenovelkiss.com

After all, his Dragon Force talent is something he keeps hidden, not to mention, this ragdoll cat belongs to someone else.

"The test has passed, but Mr. Jones, you're not an ordinary identifier. As your future boss, I would like to gain a deeper understanding of your comprehension of a pet's Arcane Force type bias. Of course, you will be compensated. Is that acceptable?"

Rosalind said with interest, a decisiveness unexpected, given her calm demeanor. It was obvious that the handsome young man before her, who was disliked by Crystal, had caught her attention.

Pet evolution isn't a simple matter, it involves special changes moving across different forms and types. The bias of a pet's Arcane Force is used to assess the target attributes of the pet's evolution.

The Arcane Force bias of pets is usually identified through the crystal of Flowery Kingdom's science technology: "type detector", or by an identifier of a junior level or higher, but the Crystal and Ghost pets are exceptions.

As a Crystal pet, a gemstone-like pet, the type detector can't perform detailed checks on it. It can only be identified by an identifier, especially in the case of a Titanium Ragdoll.

The Titanium Ragdoll is a Crystal pet that has several potential evolutionary attributes and can evolve into different attribute pets depending on the Arcane Force attribute it absorbs and the variance in crystal nuclei. Therefore, she pays great attention to a pet's Arcane Force attribute bias.

"Simply put, the Arcane Force attribute bias of a pet is similar to its physical predisposition. For instance, if a single Ice pet has an Ice fusion degree of over 70%, then all its other attribute fusion degrees combined would be less than 30%." Hearing there would be compensation, David answered decisively.

David spent about ten minutes pretending to skillfully observe the Ragdoll. Feeling that he had spent enough time, he said, "This Titanium Ragdoll has a Crystal fusion degree of only 50%, while its Fire attribute is at 40%. It's recommended the evolution direction to be towards Fire attribute."

Being a single Crystal pet, its Fire fusion degree was almost half, which means it would be more suitable for evolution using Fire gemstones and crystal nuclei.

"Applause." That was the sound of Rosalind clapping. She was surprised; David's identification was more precise than some of the senior identifiers in the mall.

His result had a very small margin of error compared to that of old Mr. Louise. It's important to know that old Mr. Louise was the only master identifier in the Louise family.

"Mr. Jones, have you ever considered becoming a professional identifier? In terms of identification, you are the most gifted person I've ever seen, bar none!" Delighted by what she seen, Rosalind didn't hesitate to praise him and looked sincerely at David.

"No, being an identifier is just a hobby to me, I only want to be a professional Trainer." David refused adamantly without the slightest hesitation.

David's thought was straightforward, being a part-time identifier was just for livelihood.

Rather than working a regular nine-to-five job, he preferred to travel with Rainbow, meeting more companions along the way and becoming stronger together.

David firmly believed that he and Rainbow could become champions of the National Trainer Competition and earn the "Grand" title!

"Alright, welcome to Ragdoll Mall." Even though David refused without hesitation, Rosalind ended the conversation without a change in expression. She had no intention of forcing him.

Perhaps David's identification talent was exceptional, but in her eyes, he was not an indispensable genius. After all, the Louise family still had a Master Identifier.

Furthermore, cultivating a Master Identifier is not a simple matter. It can even be said it's extremely difficult.

David only had the potential to reach that level, and on top of that, he didn't want to be a professional identifier. In Rosalind's eyes, there was virtually no chance he would become a Master Identifier.

Rosalind felt it was a waste for someone so gifted not to become a professional identifier. But she didn't feel there was anything wrong with David's aspiration to be a professional Trainer.

Each year on the Blue Star, many Trainer talent awakeners desired to become a powerful Trainer. Given the threat of beasts, power was the mainstream on Blues Star, so pursuing it as a Trainer wasn't unusual.

"I think Mr. Jones is highly capable and can handle more challenging tasks, such as identifying Titanium Ragdolls. You'll have a minimum of one per month, and for every ragdoll you identify, you get a commission of 10,000 Star coins, with no upper limit. How does that sound?" Rosalind put forward a new proposal.

"Of course, as long as it's not full-time, I can accept." David responded calmly, but inwardly, he felt a little nervous, distinctly sensing a change in attitude from the beautiful woman interviewing him.

"Could it be that the time taken making the identification was too short? But no, identifying pets doesn't normally take long. Could it be a problem with the Titanium Ragdoll's Arcane Force attribute bias? But the attribute value I mentioned was deliberately erred." The sudden uncertainty was making David irritable. 𝓯𝒓𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝒃𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝙢

At last, the interview was successfully concluded. As David stood up to leave, Rosalind suddenly extended her hand, clearly indicating she wanted to shake hands.

David looked at the smooth and slender hand before him, the soft light reflecting off Rosalind's nails.

He hesitated for a moment, then politely extended his right hand, gave hers a light squeeze, then let go, turned around and left.

David, who was leaving at this moment, had no idea how thrilled Rosalind was inside after shaking his hand!

Rosalind remained where she was, standing still for a moment. Then she frowned, as though deep in thought.

The next instant, her eyes widened in disbelief. Finally, she gasped, "Wait!".
