Chapter 8 – First Day of School (4)

He Qingwan’s parents were very traditional individuals who strongly believed that women should dedicate all of themselves to their families. They must be good in the kitchen, obey their husbands, raise good sons, and most of all, be faithful.

He Qingwan never attended university after she had graduated high school. She was sent to a bridal school in Country R by her parents and learned how to take care of a household, serve her man, and rearing children. Along with those were also cultivation of more fanciful hobbies such as flower arrangements, wine tasting, piano, etc.... everything that would deem enhancing the relationship at home. That was also where she picked up her skills in dessert making.

Back when they were at the Su’s, He Qingwan had always kept the house cozy and welcoming. She put thoughts into decorating every corner of the house. When the scum father came home every day, she was short of changing out his shoes for him on her knee.

Despite all those things, her scum father cheated on her anyway. Not only did he cheat on her, he even had a son outside of their marriage.

Even then Su Tian’s grandparents discouraged He Qingwan from getting a divorce; one could say that they were the biggest obstacle in her divorce.

Su Tian always felt that she had contributed greatly in He Qingwan finally being able to get out of that marriage. Come to think about it now, was she really any different from her scum father? Weren’t they both suffocating He Qingwan all the same? Back then He Qingwan lived her for scum father, now she lived for Su Tian. When would she start living for herself?

Surely, it was a parent’s nature to dote on their children and make them the center of their universe. He Qingwan didn’t think that was anything wrong with it, but Su Tian didn’t want that to be the case.

Thinking about He Qingwan spending the rest of her life taking care of her daughter that was in coma made Su Tian very sad.

“Mom,” Su Tian took a sip of the yogurt and licked away those left behind on her upper lip and casually said, “Now that you have divorced Su Yuhe, you should consider other potential suitors if you run into someone nice and not worry too much about me.”

“You shouldn’t just refer to him by his name. That’s your father you were talking about,” grumbled He Qingwan. “Don’t do that again.”

“Oh,” replied Su Tian indifferently.

She was a transmigrator and she only cared about He Qingwan being her mother. She had no concerns for all the others. She had never once referred to Su Yuhe as her father before. He Qingwan had nagged her about this before. With Su Tian’s personality, she was always quick to admit fault, but never changed her ways. She was still going to refer Su Yuhe as Su Yuhe in the future.

“Did you hear what I said?” whined Su Tian.

“About what?”

“Give it a try when you run into a quality man! But not Uncle Wang though. He’s not good looking enough for my pretty mom,” chuckled Su Tian.

“Don’t you worry about adult matters,” blushed He Qingwan as she put one of the eggs into Su Tian’s bowl and said lovingly, “You won’t even stop talking when you are eating.”

Su Tian rolled her eyes. Was she really the more childish one here?

Su Tian headed out to school after breakfast and He Qingwan headed into her store. The store was set for grand opening in the next couple of days, she needed to do one last check to make sure their ducks were in a row.

He Qingwan had insisted that she wanted to go with, but Su Tian was finally able to talk her down. f𝘳e𝒆w𝗲𝐛𝘯𝐨νe𝚕.co𝓶

Forget about her 20 some odd years in her previous life, even this body was 17 years old – one year to adulthood. Who at this age would still want their mother to go with them on the first day of school? That ought to be quite embarrassing.
