Chapter 248 Stocking Potions And Heading For A Hunt

Arthur and Val walked into the potion ship where the shopkeeper noticed them.

"Welcome, what would you two want today?" The Shopkeeper who was an old man asked.

Arthur didn't see the young man from before. It was clear that last time he was manning the shop because the shopkeeper was busy elsewhere.

"We would like to buy some potions." Arthur replied.

"And which ones do you want? We have all kinds of potions. Health Restoration potions, Magic restoration potions, stamina restoration potions and more." The old shopkeeper introduced.

"I'd like to get both Health and Mana Restoration potions." Arthur replied.

"Of course!" The old shopkeeper replied and opened one of the cupboards behind him.

Inside, one could see several vials and bottles of potions lined up. They were filled with various colored liquids and it was hard to tell what they were at a glance. Only those that were versed in potions would know what they were right away unless they could also use the right kind of Appraisal skill.

"Please take a look." The old man placed a few potions in front of Arthur.

They were of various quantities and qualities. Arthur simply picked the ones that were similar to the ones he had made himself.

"I'll take five of these Health Restoration potions, and five of those Magic restoration potions." Arthur pointed to the potions on the table.

"Oh, you're decisive. I like it when customers are like this." The old man said with a smile. "The Five Health Restorations are 10 silver coins each while the Magic restoration potions are about twenty silvers each." He stated.

"That's fine." Arthur didn't mind and paid the one gold and fifty silvers to the man.

"Pleasure doing business with you.

The two potions were similar in usage and had the same kind of recovery rate.

"And what about the young miss?" The old man looked at Val.

"I… I'll also buy some," Val said before picking three potions as well.

"Oh, A Mid Quality Small Healing potion and a Low Quality Small Healing potion." The old man noted. "It'll be five silver coins for the Low quality ones." He stated.

"Here," Val handed the twenty silvers to the old shopkeeper.

Val checked the effectiveness of the potion and saw that it was half as effective as the mid quality one. It could barely restore 12.5% of one's HP. But for a player at the current stage, it would still be good enough to save their lives when going up against some tough enemies.

"Thank you for your patronage!" the old man said, bidding Arthur and Val farewell.

The two walked out while Val carefully held the three potions before storing them in her bag. She didn't want to accidentally break them after all.

"Now that we have the potions, let's go hunt for a bit." Arthur stated.

"Where are we going for that?" Val questioned.

"We're going to go hunt a field boss," Arthur answered.

"A field boss!?" Val was surprised.

"Yes." Arther nodded his head. "There's a field boss in the Ocher Plains. It'll be good enough for you to practice."

"If you say so then it should be okay." Val replied, having faith in Arthur's skill.

"Come, we should not waste any more time." Arthur spurred her on and took the lead.

The two left through the southern exit and took the highway that went to the Ocher Plains. Along the way, they encountered a few gerbils Arthur made an easy work of them. His improved stats made him a lot more faster too and the Gerbils had no chance in escaping.

And since Arthur had already wiped out Dozla's Bandit group, there weren't any of them ambushing him on the way either. As such, the two had an easier time reaching the Ocher Plains.

~PIIII~

Of course, as soon as they entered it they encountered a bunch of Hook Beak Sprinter Birds.

"Heavy Shot!" Val was quick to respond and shot out an arrow that struck the nearest Hook Beak Sprinter Bird right in the head!

[-100% HP!]

[Critical hit!]

[Fatal Hit!]

>Player Val has killed a Hook Beast Sprinter Bird!<

>Player Val has obtained 6% Experience!<

"Whoa, that was nice." Val was pleased by the shot as well as the experience she had gotten.

She reckoned if she could kill each bird she encountered in one go, she would be able to level up rather fast.

"Just keep on doing as you are. You'll be able to progress fast that way." Arthur encouraged. "I'll keep the extra ones occupied so you can focus." He said before taking out Dietrich.

"I got it!" Val said as she shot another arrow that struck the neck of the next bird.

[-60% HP]

[Critical hit!]

She might not have hit the head, but it was still a good hit.

~shua~

She released another arrow, that struck the Hook Beast Sprinter Bird in the neck again, ending its life.

[-40% HP]

[Critical hit!]

[Fatal Hit!]

>Player Val has killed a Hook Beast Sprinter Bird!<

>Player Val has obtained 6% Experience!<

"Haha! Two down!" Val said before turning around. "Whoa…" and when she did, she saw Arthur having killed four Hook Beak Sprinter Birds in one attack!

"Wide Sweep! Spear Coating!" Arthur used the two skills in combination, causing the blade of the spear to glow in a blue light and release an arc of water.

[-100% HP] x 4

[Fatal Hit!]? x 4

>Player Arzhur has killed a Hook Beast Sprinter Bird!< x 4

>Player Arzhur has obtained 2% Experience!<
