Chapter 108

Chapter 108: <Chapter 107>

Hans used work in a bank when he was given a job by Kail Bruntland. He had been doing a good job for the Bruntland family, but five years ago, Hans became afraid of Kail.

Five years ago, Kail lost his smile and his face became a glass mask. People whispered that he changed into a completely different man, and Hans agreed. Every time he had to meet with Kail, he couldn’t relax.

“Is there something you would like to tell me, sir?”

Hans didn’t know what, but something wasn’t right. When he hesitantly asked Kail, a low voice replied, “No. Nothing.”

So why was Kail not dismissing him?

With a deep sigh, Kail poured himself a cup of tea. Hans didn’t know when it started, but Kail developed a habit of making himself tea. He was so elegant with his movement that Hans watched with fascination.

Suddenly, Kail asked, “And is there anything else you would like to report?”

More to report? But Hans had told him everything.

He thought hard in confusion and suddenly, Hans realized what Kail was talking about. Hans coughed and replied, “There is indeed something I need to tell you. It took me a while to find out about the recent tabloid article.”

“I told you to report back to me as soon as you found something.”

Hans looked at his boss nervously. He was afraid. Kail wasn’t doing anything, yet just his glare was enough to make Hans shiver.

The best thing for him to do now was to leave this room as soon as possible.

“Here is the report. I will leave you now. If you have anything more you need, please let me know.”

When Hans left, Kail reached for the tabloid newspaper. He had read it many times before, but he needed to read it again.

– World-famous fashion designer Christian Lozetti on a secret date with an Asian model!

It appears that the most eligible bachelor has finally found his mate. Christian Lozetti, a beautiful man who loves fashion, was spotted on the night of the 17th. Christian is known to date very infrequently and so this new development has caught the attention of many people.

He was seen having dinner with a mysterious Asian woman in one of New York’s trendy bars. Christian spent over three hours with this woman chatting and having a great time. The date lasted till midnight and they disappeared in his limousine.

The Asian woman was found to be a relatively new model named Silje Kim (23). She was adopted from Korea to Norway, and they first met when Silje Kim was hired to stand on one of the Sherian fashion shows. She has become a sought-after model ever since and has worked for many luxury brands including Donna Karan, Diane von Furstenberg, and Calvin Klein. She has also been selected as one of the world’s top 50 models on models.com.

Christian Lozetti is a beloved designer who has been chosen as America’s best designer three years in a row. He also received the annual world’s best fashion designer award last year.

An unexpected scandal erupted. Paparazzi caught them having dinner and the photos decorated the biggest newspapers and magazines.

Silje smiled bitterly after reading an article on the internet.

So was she going to be famous now? Should she thank the paparazzi?

She didn’t care about it, because it wasn’t true. But Christian must’ve been worried about her because he called her.

“Hello?”

Silje thought the call was from her agency, but when a familiar man’s voice greeted her, she flinched in surprise.

“Hi, Silje? It’s me.”

Behind his voice, she could hear loud music and the voices of many others. It seemed that he was calling from his studio.

Silje could hear Cynthia and Emma’s voices as well.

She grinned.

“Hello, Christian.”

At her casual voice, he laughed.

“I was worried about you, but it sounds like you’re fine. Did you read the article?”

“Don’t worry about me. It’s not true, so it’s okay. It doesn’t bother me.”

After a short silence, Christian said something mysterious and unexpected.

“I see. Well, that’s good but I feel a bit disappointed.”

“Disappointed?”

When she asked in confusion, Christian laughed again like he found her amusing.

“Well, I want to apologize to you anyway since it’s my fault. If it becomes a problem, let me know. If your agency makes a big deal out of it, or it causes you any other problems, tell me.”

“Oh and if I do have problems, will you make them go away? Like Santa Claus?”

At Silje’s serious question, he laughed again.

“If you want me to. But it sounds like you don’t need me at all. Anyway, I’m glad you’re fine, Silje.”

“Thank you for calling me. I really appreciate it.”

“Then let’s meet again next time. We can go to Central Park and watch a fashion photoshoot or maybe we can visit Brilliant Park and enjoy the sun. Don’t you think going to Brilliant Park during the New York fashion week would be amazing? We can eat the Ess-a bagel or a burger from the Corner Bistro. We can also try a dessert at the Veniero. What do you think? I can bring my friends so you can meet them. It will be fun.”

“Sure. I will see you later, Christian.”

“Okay. It’s Milan fashion week soon, right? Let’s meet after that.”

With a faint smile, they hung up.

To have someone offer to help her in New York… Silje felt amazing.

Christian introduced her to a new world last night. She had been living in New York for a while now, but she never really experienced the city other than work. It had always been work and home only for her.

Luckily for her, Christian was offering to show her this amazing city. She felt grateful, and she decided to do her best for him during the upcoming Sherian fashion show. That would be her way of paying back for his kindness.

Silje felt sure that with Christian, she would be able to come to love New York. She could tell. She knew she would love it.

But right now, her priority was her work.

Milan fashion week was coming up soon.

She had to do well.

Without further delay, Silje put away the happy thoughts and turned around to pack her bag.
