Chapter 15: Convincing the Team to Join
Chapter 15 - Convincing the Team to Join
At Capsule Corporation.
Cado lay comfortably on a rocking chair, wearing sunglasses and sipping fresh orange juice, looking completely at ease.
A week had passed since the Saiyan invasion of Earth.
After the battle, Cado's strength had skyrocketed again.
To his surprise, he found that even without actively training, his energy (ki) continued to grow daily. More than that, every time he fought, his power seemed to explode exponentially.
At this rate, his battle power had already reached the threshold of 100,000—an absolutely terrifying growth speed.
"Bulma, are you ready yet? We need to go!"
Cado called out lazily.
"Almost! Just a second!"
Bulma's cheerful voice responded.
"Ugh, women are so troublesome. Every time we go out, it takes forever to get ready."
Cado rolled his eyes in exasperation as he continued lying back in the chair.
Today, their main goal was to visit Goku in the hospital.
Since Cado had injured him in their fight, they were bringing him a Senzu Bean so he could finally check out of the hospital.
Goku had been stuck there ever since their battle. Since no one had any Senzu Beans at the time, he had no choice but to remain hospitalized.
Cado, however, had earned a hundred Senzu Beans as a system reward.
But right after the fight, he noticed his energy continuing to grow on its own.
So instead of sticking around, he left immediately to stabilize his power, not even thinking about giving Goku a Senzu Bean at the time.
After about ten minutes, Bulma finally walked out.
"Alright, darling, let's go!"
She playfully knocked on Cado's head and smiled.
Cado looked up and saw Bulma dressed fashionably, her makeup carefully done.
She looked youthful, lively, and absolutely adorable.
"Alright, let's go," Cado said with a casual smile.
Then, wrapping an arm around Bulma's waist, he gently leaped into the sky and flew off.

West City – Third Public Hospital
Inside the hospital room, Goku, dressed in a hospital gown, was doing push-ups.
"Well, you're looking pretty good."
Cado and Bulma pushed open the door and were greeted by the sight of Goku training on the floor.
"Cado! Bulma! You guys came!"
Goku greeted them cheerfully, not holding any grudge over the fact that Cado was the one who put him in the hospital in the first place.
"Look what I brought for you."
Cado smirked and dangled a small green bean in front of him.
"A Senzu Bean!"
Goku's eyes lit up.
He had been dying to get out of the hospital for days now.
Everything else was bearable, but the treatments, the needles—those were pure torture!
Taking the Senzu Bean from Cado without hesitation, Goku popped it into his mouth.
The moment he swallowed, his body, which still felt slightly weak just moments ago, instantly returned to full strength.
"This is amazing! Cado, now that I'm healed, let's have another fight!"
Goku stretched his arms, his energy back in full force. The first thing on his mind was challenging Cado again.
Cado shook his head with a smile. "No way. You should focus on training first. Once you're strong enough, then I'll fight you again."
"Alright, you have my word!"
Goku agreed seriously.
Deep down, he knew his challenge was just instinct—his battle hunger was ingrained into his very being.
Ding!
Just as the two were chatting, Cado suddenly paused for a moment.
Then, with a mysterious expression, he turned to Goku and asked, "Want to fight someone even stronger than me?"
"Huh?"
Goku blinked in confusion.
"Wait, there's someone stronger than you?"
Goku asked curiously.
To him, Cado was already the strongest fighter he had ever seen.
If there was someone even stronger, then just how powerful would they be?
"This universe is vast, and there are countless strong warriors out there. Compared to them, I'm just a tiny speck of dust."
Cado spoke calmly, his gaze filled with an unspoken longing for a greater challenge.
Gulp.
Goku swallowed hard.
His eyes sparkled with excitement—more than they would if he had just seen a beautiful woman.
"I want to go! Where is this person?!"
Goku quickly pressed for details, growing impatient.
"Not so fast. This place is far away—on another planet."
Cado smiled, keeping up the mystery.
"I don't care where it is! I have to go!"
Goku's eyes burned with determination.
The more Cado hyped it up, the more eager Goku became.
"Alright, it's on Planet Namek—Piccolo's home planet."
Cado finally revealed.
Bulma had been silently listening to their conversation from the side.
When Cado mentioned Namek, she frowned slightly.
She knew Cado wouldn't just bring this up randomly. He definitely had another reason for mentioning it.
And she was right. Cado wasn't just talking about this on a whim—he had received a system notification earlier.
[Ding! Frieza has learned about the Dragon Balls through another source and is preparing to invade Planet Namek! Host, please make a choice!]
[Option 1: Travel to Planet Namek and defeat Frieza!
Reward: 0.1-second Time Skip ability!]
[Option 2: Ignore it and stay out of trouble.
Reward: Solar Flare technique!]
When Cado first saw the mission, he was conflicted.
Even though his power was strong, this time, he would be facing Frieza, the emperor of the universe.
One mistake, and he could actually die.
For a moment, he seriously considered choosing the second option and staying out of it.
But his instincts told him that his enemies would only get stronger and stronger.
If he didn't have the courage to take risks now, he would be doomed in the long run.
So, as an extra safety measure, he decided to drag Goku along.
If things got too dangerous, he could at least hope for Goku to turn Super Saiyan and take down Frieza.
Just then, the hospital door suddenly swung open.
"Take me with you!"
"Hm?"
Cado turned to look—it was Piccolo.
He had come to visit Goku, but when he reached the door, he overheard their conversation.
Updated from freewёbnoνel.com.
The moment he heard the name Planet Namek, something deep inside him stirred.
"Piccolo? Oh, that's great! We'll fight side by side again!"
Goku said excitedly.
Unknowingly, the bond between the two rivals had shifted into something closer to friendship.
Cado, on the other hand, was a bit surprised.
Piccolo wasn't part of his original plan.
If he had to bring someone, he would have preferred Krillin.
After all, Krillin could at least serve as a sacrificial distraction—Piccolo's survival rate wasn't as reliable.
Cado was about to refuse, but when he saw the sincerity in Piccolo's eyes, he hesitated.
"...Alright. First, we need to find out where Namek is. Goku, you go ask King Kai."
"Bulma, we'll also need a spaceship. That's your job."
Cado divided up the tasks with a commanding tone.
"Hey, hey! I never agreed to this! How come you're just deciding things on your own?!"
Bulma finally spoke up, unable to hold back any longer.
She was genuinely worried about Cado's safety and didn't want him taking unnecessary risks.
"Sigh..."
Cado let out a helpless sigh.
Looks like he had some explaining to do.
Otherwise... he might not be allowed in bed tonight.
