Chapter 16: Self-Destructive Training Method

Chapter 16 - Self-Destructive Training Method

After a whole night of persuasion, Cado finally convinced Bulma to help them build a spaceship.

Raditz and Nappa's pods were both completely intact.

As long as they scaled them up proportionally, they could be used for travel.

But building it was no small task—it would take three days.

Cado wasn't one to just sit around and wait.

He decided to make the most of that time and get some real training in.

In the blink of an eye, Cado disappeared and reappeared at the at Kami's.

It was his first time being there.

"Mr. Cado, what brings you here?"

A man with a dark face, thick lips, and round eyes, with a cloth wrapped around his head, asked nervously.

The man in front of him was well-known—Earth's strongest warrior, the hero who had saved the planet.

"Nothing big, Mr. Popo. I just want to use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber." Cado said casually.

Three days wasn't a lot of time.

But the Time Chamber was the perfect way around that problem.

"Huh? Wait—"

Popo was visibly shocked. He was pretty sure Cado had never been here before...

And yet, he knew his name without hesitation. That alone made Popo stiffen a bit.

"I'll have to ask Kami first." he said quickly.

Popo didn't dwell on it—after all, someone at Cado's level wasn't someone he could afford to cross.

But as Kami's assistant, he had to follow the right procedure.

Cado gave a calm nod, showing he understood.

"Let him use it. He's not a bad person."

The elderly Kami came out of the temple, walking slowly with a cane.

Cado looked closely at his face and thought to himself.

'Yup... looks just like Piccolo.'

Kami also studied Cado.

Though he wasn't sure what the young man was planning, he had saved Earth multiple times.

Letting him use the Time Chamber seemed more than fair.

Besides, Kami had been keeping tabs on him.

He knew about that hospital conversation.

And since Piccolo would soon be teaming up with Cado, helping him now meant helping Piccolo too.

"Thanks." Cado said politely.

Popo, having gotten the go-ahead, motioned for Cado to follow.

They walked together into the depths of the temple.

Soon, they arrived outside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

"Go ahead inside. Just remember—each person can only use the chamber for two days total in their entire life. Any longer, and you'll be trapped in there. There's plenty of food and water inside." Popo explained.

"Got it. Thanks again." Cado smiled and nodded.

He stepped inside.

An endless, pale-white space stretched in every direction.

Gravity in the chamber was ten times that of Earth.

Though Cado's power far surpassed an average person's, the heavy gravity still threw him off at first.

But he adjusted quickly.

"Alright... let's see how far I can push this..." he murmured.

He didn't plan to stay long.

Spending too much time in here could start messing with your mind.

"Haaah!"

With a loud yell, Cado gathered his energy and fired off a powerful ki blast.

He quickly chased after it, then—without hesitation—threw himself in front of it.

No defense, no shield. He took the full brunt of his own attack.

Boom!

Blood sprayed from his mouth as his energy vanished in an instant.

Everything around him blurred, and the smell of burning flesh filled his nose.

Shaking, he fumbled through his clothes and pulled out a round cloth pouch.

Inside was a Senzu Bean.

He popped it in his mouth, and just like that, his body was instantly healed.

His energy surged even higher than before.

"Phew... this training works, but damn, it's risky." Cado muttered, wiping sweat off his forehead.

His plan was simple: Abuse the Saiyan trait of getting stronger after near-death experiences.

A brutal but effective way to level up fast.

This was the legendary self-destructive training method.

And the results were shocking.

"This power-up is nuts... it tripled my ki!"

Cado clenched his fists, feeling the explosive energy flowing inside him.

He didn't push it further yet—first, he had to get used to his new strength.

If he lost control, he could end up accidentally killing himself for real.

For the next few days, Cado practiced using his newfound power in the chamber.

Devastating energy blasts.

Basic punches and kicks.

All his moves, run again and again.

After three days, he had a full handle on his enhanced strength.

"Alright—again!"

He repeated the process.

Blasted himself with his own ki wave.

But this time, he kept a Senzu Bean in his mouth in case he passed out too fast to reach for it.

Just before he blacked out, he swallowed it—then bam, full recovery.

His power exploded again.

He repeated all his techniques to stabilize the boost.

But this time, it took even longer to adjust.

And so, day after day, Cado kept repeating his brutal training cycle in the chamber.

Time flew by.

Outside, only half a day had passed.

Inside the Time Chamber, Cado finally stopped training.

Not because he couldn't grow stronger anymore—

But because the boredom was absolutely crushing.

His ki had grown to a point where it couldn't even be measured anymore.

By rough estimate, he was sitting at around eight million in battle power.

If it weren't for the long periods needed to stabilize his strength after each power-up,he could've stayed in there until he was basically unbeatable.

Still, going from one hundred thousand to eight million...

That kind of power spike? It was like playing the game with cheat codes.

"Looks like it's time to set out..." Cado said, his eyes sharp with purpose.

He pushed open the chamber door.

After thanking Kami, he flew off from the Lookout.

He didn't stop anywhere else—just went straight back to Bulma's place.

He didn't know how long he'd be gone this time, so he made the most of the next two days with Bulma.

Finally, the three days were up.

The spaceship was ready.

After some intense pleading, Goku finally got King Kai to tell him the exact location of Planet Namek.

Bulma gave them detailed instructions on how to operate the ship.

And with that, the three of them boarded the vessel.

Under Bulma's reluctant gaze,

the spaceship slowly lifted off, broke through Earth's atmosphere,

and soared into deep space.

Cado stood firm, his gaze locked on the stars ahead.

"Namek. Frieza. I'm coming."
