Chapter 120: A happy time

Chapter 120: A happy time

Soon, the scar on my chest healed completely; Ayesha’s healing and my regeneration were enough to heal any wound in a matter of seconds.

I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was the red and teary faces of the women I love the most.

"Why were you so impulsive? Why would you even confront him directly?"

Ah, I was scolded right after by Ayesha. So, no crying for love or anything, huh?

"I am sorry. I will not do that again. But when I realised that he was the one behind what happened with you and Mother, I couldn’t hold myself." I genuinely seemed like a man who did all that for emotions and family.

And it was working.

Her anger subsided for a while, and she tried to look away from me.

Oh... change in emotions huh? Don’t worry, you will realise it soon, Mother.

At the same time, another hand came towards me, resting on my face. I looked at the owner of the hand; she also had the same face as Ayesha’s, equally pained by what I did, but there was a happy smile on her face with her tears.

I rested my head on her hand and didn’t say anything. There was no need for that.

And just when I thought that a happy moment was going on among us,

"Ahahahahaha... very well said, young man. I must say, you did not disappoint me one bit."

That fucking lizard opened his mouth, laughing to his heart’s content.

He then raised his hand and patted my shoulder, finally letting my body down.

"You praise me for nothing, elder." I politely declined his appraisal of me.

"Hahaha, good, good, be humble like that always. You two did a great job making him like that." He looked at the two women standing on either side of me.

They both responded to him with a slight smile on their faces.

"This incident today is going to change many things now. The fear of that demon has taken root inside everyone again. There is also the threat from the outside world, all of these things are happening at the same time, sigh..."

The burden of being in charge of the whole planet, looking after billions of population must be too taxing on him.

It might be even more to the Elf queen, who is the head of the council.

"The thing that happened today must be too demoralising for you two; you both did your best to defeat the demon king that day; Eleanor even lost her powers because of that vile demon, and now seeing him return here again... I cannot begin to imagine what you must be feeling." He shook his head, trying to feel mothers pain.

But for some reason, why do I sense nothing from her right now? On the other hand, Ayesha seems more tense than her.

(That was because she was feeling nothing fool.)

He had yet to know that mother is recovering now, thanks to me. But it’s better not to talk about that right now.

After a second, he continued to speak further,

"Today, I was able to understand that Edward has betrayed us. I was able to sense many strong presence inside the castle, many of them were stronger than me."

"We already had the idea of his betrayal. Now the main point is, how can we face them? We don’t even have anyone here at Elder realm." Ayesha chimed in after the elder.

I stayed silent, no point in talking right now. Mother also did the same, both of us were unaware of the actual situation outside right now.

"We need to talk with other races too, and ask them for help." The elder said after Ayesha.

So that means other races are also eyeing this planet.

Am I being delusional here or are the races showing too much interest in this planet?

Surely, there is no need for them for such a small piece of land.

Does that mean there is something that all of them are looking for?

I don’t think it is my core, though; not many are foolish enough to search for my core.

Not everyone that is left inside the ruin is good. Many ancient evils try to take control over others using the core that they left behind.

And they surely don’t know about my sword here, other than me. There is no one, even Zixane, who doesn’t know where my sword is, and I am talking about the real one.

I chose this place because it had nothing here except the world tre...?

Are they here for that?

But why? Surely they are no fools. A world tree cannot make them or their planet much stronger. I have... that demon had tried it very long ago.

Let’s just ask him directly, he should know something at least.

"Grand elder, why are they even attacking us? Surely a small planet like ours shouldn’t be worth too much in their eyes. Then why?"

Hearing my questions, Ayesha was silent, she didn’t know the reason for that. Mother was already silent and also that little girl, so they didn’t say anything.

Grand elder also went silent for a while. If he is silent, then he must know something. Otherwise, he would have simply said no to me.

That information must be crucial. I think no one besides him and Grandma knows about this.

"I shouldn’t be revealing this to anyone, but now that it has come to this point, it will get revealed to many soon."

Ah, so let me hear it.

"There is an ancient ruin in our planet. It belonged to a being who was about to become God."

Hold up for a second. This planet had someone like that? No, they must be from another one.

But why would someone come to this planet and die... ah, now I get it.

No wonder it reached there.

"That person could have become a God only if that person did not go to fight an evil entity that time. Both him and that evil entity perished in their battle."

It’s clear now. And let me clarify: I am not that evil entity; there is no way in hell there would be someone capable enough to take me down with him.

This is about something else. Something that is connected to me though.

That evil entity is none other than the evil dragon whose inheritance was received by the little girl hiding behind the grand elder.

Both of them must have fought each other and during that time, they reached my ruin where that being sealed the evil dragon.

But that battle shouldn’t have been easy, at the end of his life, he must have made a ruin for himself.

Now all of that makes sense.

And if there is his ruin, then it must mean that the core he had was most likely a Godly one.

Why am I so sure? He was very close to being a God. And he was righteous.

There are only a few ways to become a God. He wouldn’t have been so close to it if he was righteous.

So I am sure he had a Godly core. And even if he didn’t, he must have had a mythical one for sure.

Either way, it’s good.

"They are looking for the ruin of that fallen being. And till now, we have been unable to find it. Maybe we could have changed the fate of our world if we did."

Yeah, yeah, you could have. Do you even know what the fuck you are talking about?

The moment you get that core, all of those fuckers will attack you and take that core back.

It is actually better for you guys if the core remains hidden.

"Don’t worry, uncle. We can figure something out. Besides, the spirits are helping us, and they said many more races will be coming to our side; there is no need for us to panic." Ayesha said to the elder.

I won’t say anything bad about her, but she is wrong. Nothing comes for free, they will ask for the same thing that those vampires are trying to take by force.

The way might be different, but the end motive is the same. Unless there is something that can stop them all from ever getting near this planet. This constant danger will always be lurking above our heads.

"Umm, I hope this gets over soon and we can get back to living peacefully again like before."

Yeah like before, where all of us were trying our best to kill each other. A peaceful life where we were dead set on flowing the blood of each of us.

Me trying to kill him, him and all trying to kill me, me trying to get back to them all... a happy time.
