Chapter 187 - Pointy Bois
Chapter 187 - Pointy Bois
"Just wait and watch," Samur said (in Azell's voice) bemusedly.
Hmm, now that he thought about it, Lecia had been awfully quiet even though her precious hero Azell had come to save her.
'Don't tell me she's so ecstatic that she cannot even speak?' Samur scowled. 𝑓𝓇𝑒𝑒𝚠e𝘣𝓷𝘰ѵe𝑙.com
If that indeed was the case, that would be a yikes from him. Because that meant that there were chances that Lecia would turn into a mentally unstable obsessive 'yandere' for Azell, who would stop at nothing to get him to stay by her side.
Just thinking about it sent shivers down his spine. Good thing he masked his voice.
Samur conjured another ice spear and made it float right in front of Tristan's face. f𝗿e𝙚𝘸e𝐛𝚗𝐨𝙫𝚎𝙡.c𝒐𝐦
As the kidnapper gulped, Samur asked Lecia, "Are you alright?"
Leica, who was still bound to the chair and had her eyes covered, flinched.
"Did he do anything else to you?" Samur asked in a cold voice as he doused the healing potion on where Tristan had plunged the knife.
'What the hell is he doing?' Tristan wondered but did not dare mutter it out aloud.
The ice spear was still menacingly floating in front of him, after all.
"…" Lecia remained quiet, as if she had frozen.
"Did he?"
"He… he hurt me," Lecia replied in a teary voice. "Before you came, he hurt me."
"Is that so?"
"Bullshit!" Tristan exclaimed. "I did nothing of that sort!"
'Heh, would you look at her? Nice,' Samur smiled as he looked at Tristan and winked.
'W-what?' Tristan was confused.
?Samur, I have entered the building,? Neia suddenly said.
"I see. Please come to the hall."
?Understood.?
"Oh, and no matter what happens, do not utter a single word."
?…What??
Of all things, why the hell would he ask her to stay quiet?
It was like he was asking her to shut the fuck up, which was exactly what he was implying.
"Is that clear?"
?Uh, wait-?
"Is it?" Samur repeated himself.
?…?
"Perfect."
?Can you please stop talking in Azell's voice??
As expected, her primitive brain still hadn't figured out why Samur was using Azell's voice.
"No."
Samur would have to be a fucking idiot, an absolute imbecile of biblical proportions, to use his real voice in front of Lecia, especially at this point.
?Then I'm not coming up,? Neia tried protesting.
"Ok."
This was way better than forcing her to shut the fuck up in the face of whatever he was planning to do.
The last thing he wanted was for her to scream 'Samur!' right in front of Lecia and ruin his epic prank.
In fact, he originally wanted her to fall back to another one of their backup sniping vantage points, but it would be awkward if she got caught in the crossfire and died so he called her here.
?What?? Neia furrowed her brows.
Paying no heed to her words, Samur started his work.
As expected, the battalion that had suddenly appeared (they were probably hiding using stealth magic which meant that there was a pretty capable magician in their ranks) had already surrounded the hideout.
Neia was only able to enter the hideout because she was using a pretty advanced stealth spell.
Right now, the only way out was to pierce through this battalion's encirclement.
Of course, Samur being the out of the box thinker he was, thought of a certain thing.
'There won't be any need to pierce through the encirclement if there is no encirclement.'
He really was the genius born once a generation.
With that in mind, he started casting his magic spell.
"Guh!" Tristan groaned as the brunt of the overwhelming amount of Mana gathering around Samur hit him. "W-what the fuck!?"
"!!" Lecia, who wasn't even a magician, could also feel that the density of Mana around her had increased explosively.
She could only look (metaphorically speaking) at Azell in awe.
"Huh?" Neia, who was still considering whether she should stand by her words or swallow her pride and go up, was startled out of her thoughts by the nonsensical amount of mana gathering in the hall Samur was in.
This quantity of mana was truly humongous, probably enough to cast 'Legendary' class magic spells; spells which were more than capable of wiping out cities.
'Just what the hell is he up to?!' Neia hurriedly abandoned her pride and made her way towards the hall on the top floor.
Meanwhile, Samur, after gathering the mana, casted his spell.
Now, with this much mana, one could only wonder what kind of earth-shattering, heaven defying spell Samur would cast.
Would he create an artificial sun and burn everything to cinders, or would he open the gate of Niflheim and freeze everything to death?
Or was he going to overturn the very Earth itself, burying the filthy mongrels outside? Or perhaps he wanted to summon the demons of hell and make them tear those fuckers apart?
Well, nope.
Samur was a simple man, thus he liked simple things.
"M-more ice spears?" Tristan eked out stupidly as he stared at the sky.
From the wall that had been blown away by Samur, he could see that countless ice spears, varying greatly in size with some reaching lengths of 20 metres, were floating in the sky.
"Ez," Samur said as he wiped the blood oozing out his nose.
Samur had decided that he would only use ice spears during this mission, and by God was he going to stand by it.
He would take down a motherfucking God using a fucking ice spear if that's what it took to complete today's mission.
Of course, because the guys outside weren't idiots (in the sense that they would just look up at those ice spears and wonder why it was snowing at this time), they immediately started erecting shiels and other such shit.
In response, Samur raised his hand and brought it down.
As if he was the conductor and the spears were the musicians following his will, they too fell down on those infidels with the wrath of the Ice God.
The huge ass ice spears were the first to fall down, their aim being to destroy the shields.
The magicians and knights tried their very best, but their efforts were pointless in front of these cold, pointy bois.
The large ice spears shattered the shields and fell down on the soldiers below with deafening booms, wiping out anyone unfortunate enough to be below them.
Before the survivors could think about doing something, the rest of the ice spears swiftly fell on them, piercing through the hastily constructed defences and impaling them.
A cacophony of shrieks and grunts, booms and groans, floated up in the air, as if it was the result of the deathly opera Samur had conjured with his ice spears.
Of course, there were some who could take on an ice spear. They could be a problem.
Thankfully, the ice spears were very adept at solving problems. If you couldn't solve a problem using ice spears, you simply weren't using enough of them.
And so, what didn't fall down with one ice spear was buried with ten.
Within a minute, the entire battalion was wiped out.
"…" Tristan's jaw had already fallen to the floor and was showing signs of digging even further.
"Told you to just wait and watch- khoff!" Samur coughed out a mouthful of blood. "Goddamnit. Not another shirt," he sighed.
"…"
