Chapter 31: Hidden Basement (1)

Drip!

Thick red blood dripped down the slightly curved blade of the knife as the corpses of the German soldiers dropped to the ground from the back of the car.

Kyle took a deep breath, his heart pumping blood vigorously as the adrenaline flowed throughout his body––his forehead sweated a lot.

To not let even one German soldier issue a warning and alarm the enemy base, during those five seconds, Kyle utilized most of his fitness and skills.

He didn’t dare slack off and hurriedly observed the surroundings, making sure not to alarm another soldier.

He wiped the blood off of the Nepalese Army knife with the clothes of a corpse and put it back in its sheath around his waist.

After that, he dragged the corpse of the six soldiers back into the car. While he was busy with that, the rescued girl poked her head out of the wooden box.

The blonde glanced at the pile of bodies in front of her, her fear gone completely.

They were German soldiers. Their great weapons combined with the strict military training turned every commoner into a killing machine.

But in such a short amount of time, six of them died by the hands of just one young man, and they didn’t even get a chance to call for help. If she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn’t have believed it.

“That…” The girl plucked up her courage and muttered softly, “Thank you.”Kyle shrugged as she gasped. “It’s a little too early to thank me. We’re still inside the huge German base.”

“Ah?” The girl gasped softly. It was apparent she hadn’t figured out what kind of situation she was in.

“There’s no time for explanations. Just hide here and stay quiet. I’ll come back and get you out of here later.”

As soon as he was done speaking, Kyle swiftly jumped out of the back of the car and closed its doors.

Although it was not good to lock up a young woman with six corpses, he didn’t have much of a choice at that moment.

In order to sneak into the base, he wasted too much time, and now there were only 20 minutes left until the attack time planned for the raid mission. If the time got over, even if his troop didn’t launch an attack, the other four troops would still proceed as planned, and the base camp would be alarmed by them. Then the so-called raid would be fruitless.

“Stealth Mode: On!”

Armed with a knife, Kyle turned on the Stealth mode and headed straight into the base as he groped around for the way.

Thump!

He sneaked past a patrol team just five meters away, and none of the members noticed his presence.

The lamps and patrol team were distributed at regular intervals throughout the base, but as long as the light was not sharp, the patrol team wasn’t at their peak strength. There was always space for darkness through which Kyle could sneak into the base easily.

Perceiving the distance between the surrounding environment in the darkness was much easier due to Stealth mode’s effect.
