Chapter 628 - 48
"No, this is definitely not normal for a dungeon." Alfon said, affirming what Ardent believed. After giving the elderly two days of rest, Ardent pulled Alfon, and other Mages and Aura Users into the dungeon, to inspect the changes that occur.
"To think a third floor already formed." Cross muttered, before cutting the head of a goblin warrior. The goblin warrior is a strong goblin, with slightly larger build, and better equipment.
If regular goblins did not use any weapon, and goblin guards used weapon made out of bones, the goblin warriors decided to change that. They sported various weapon. From clubs and hatchet, to spears and sword made out of stones and bones. There are even archers among the goblin warriors, just to add more to their arsenal.
To make thing worst, they also wore armor, though it was crude one, made out of wood and pelt. Not exactly strong, but can still put up some resistance to their weapon. Well, regular one at least. One enhanced by Aura can cut them like hot knife cutting through butter. They even tested it.

"So, what should we do?" the chief asked. Ardent decided to bring the leader of the village to get him look at the potential threat. Since he immediately asked the question, the chief should see the threat posed by the dungeon.
"... for now, the best option will to take advantage of the entire thing, and increase the strength of the village. We still need to hear how the delegation team’s negotiation went through but we should strengthened the village as much as we can, before the dungeon grew out of control."
No one said anything, everyone acknowledging the danger of the dungeon.

"So, they did not take believe the existence of the dungeon?" Calais asked. As one of the five 3rd Circle Mages of the village, he had the right to take part of the decision, one involving the elders and the strongest elites of the village, not including the Blue Boulder of course.
"Yeah. For some reason, they told us that a dungeon will not appear in the middle of nowhere, and that we are lying. Even when we take out the Mana Crystal, they said we are mistaking it for a real Mana Crystal." Cross gritted his teeth.
Clearly, the accusation angered the blonde man. To be honest, it grate on Ardent’s nerve as well.
"The one who send the two groups should be causing the negotiation to not get anywhere." Catlin said. Everyone nodded, agreeing with it. It’s the option that make the most sense.
"Or, there are others that wanted to get their hands on the dungeon, and send their own forces to take over the village soon." Frank pointed out.
Once again, the council agreed, both decision making sense.
"Now, what should we do?" the chief asked, the man looking at Ardent. In fact, everyone did the same. He should expected it. He is a 5th Circle Mage, the strongest person in the region.
Ardent closed his eyes. To be honest, the idea of being a king sound better in his head and spoken to Catlin compared to telling it to other people. Namely the former did not get other to judge him while the latter is because his fiance will support him in his endeavor.
’Well, it’s now or never.’
"I have an idea, but I don’t think any of you will like it."

Catlin looked at Ardent in worry. She could see the worry in his eyes, but above all else, she can see the conviction and desire to make his dream come true.
"I planned on building a kingdom in this region, with me as the king."
’He said it. He finally said it.’ Catlin was holding his breath, observing the reaction of the rest of the council.
She did not know how they will react, but she don’t think they will be easy to persu-
"So, what’s your plan, my king?" to the surprise of many, the chief said it first.
"Y-you agree to it?" Ardent let out his shock be heard by the council. Then again, several elders parroted both his words and tone.

The chief rolled his eyes, "The way I see it, the only way for us to not be destroyed by the Cruom City is with Ardent taking the lead. I plan on giving him the leadership of the village myself, but if he want to aim bigger, I will not stop him."
The others shared her surprise and try to comprehend the reply of the chief. Once they did, the elders looked at Ardent before bowing,
"What is your plan, my king?" clearly, they all agree, with ’they’ including her father.
"Well, I expected to meet with more resistance, but since everyone agree, the first thing we should do is to turn the village into a capital." Ardent rolled with it quickly, making decision now that the elders supported him.
He turned to the former chief, "I don’t know anything except the most crude of thing in managing anything, so, I will need the chief to be my advisor. The elders will also keep their position."
It’s clearly the outcome the elders and chief desire. And Catlin quickly understand why they agreed so fast. If Ardent decided to brute force his way to become a King, or a chief, no one will stop him, as he is strongest Mage in the village. Rather than be usurped and lost everything, they decided it will be in their best wishes to concede to his demand, in return for a better result for the end of their career. Or the worst scenario they planned for.
Since Ardent put them in a position of power, their decision to bow their heads to Ardent is not wrong in the slightest.
"For now, we should strengthened the village. I will patrol the village on my own with some of the Mages acting as my eyes and ears. The rest will dive into the dungeon and get stronger."
