Chapter 286: The commander can see through Chaos too (1)
While the pack leader was stuck on the ground and the other wolves were confused. Lucas kicked the ground making them all feel his presence again.
He dashed forward after getting their attention and every single wolf did the same.
The wolf leader was still down and trying to get back up, fury evident in its eyes.
Within seconds, they all got in contact, Lucas dug his feet into the ground having the best stance he could muster, and made a big horizontal slash toward the two pouncing wolves.
For whatever reason, these wolves were very smug, they moved their claws toward the upcoming blade in unison wanting to stop it as if they had experience with this type of situation.
SWING!!
The bodies of the wolves were cut in clean halves, one moving down straight while the other still up as it was supposed to.
The innards of the wolves were still inside their bodies yet when one of the halves reached the ground, the guts and organs splattered all over the place.
The upcoming wolves stopped and looked at the bloodied blade of the sword and the bodies of their brethren.
While they would have stopped, there was no chance for them to run or anything. Lucas stopped and observed their weird behavior.
"They can manipulate blood, Lucas! Be careful!" A shout came from the back and there was no need for it.
The wolves one by one started howling, including the leader of the wolves on the ground.
In seconds, the organs and bodies of the dead wolves started moving and streams of blood came out through it.
Lucas was still standing still letting them cook whatever they wanted, his darkness had extinguished a lot making him feel lighter, and the size of the canines which even he didn’t realize had elongated became shorter than before.
The streams of thick red blood flowed toward each of the wolves howling continuously and entering through the little opening of the mouth they had while howling.
"FUCK! They are going berserk!!" Arin practically screamed while looking at the wolves with panicked eyes.
One by one, the wolves started becoming big, Lucas whistled in admiration, that was a great skill to have. Using the blood that was wasting in order to become stronger.
A crazy red glow appeared in Lucas’s eyes too.
15 Minutes later,
Arin had stopped thinking of what was right or wrong some time ago, he had seen things that were difficult to think of, especially when they came from a beginner alchemist.
Every wolf’s body was bloodied on the ground, except one. The pack leader, the biggest wolf had already gotten up some time ago and it could not stop shivering.
Its brethren had died in a painless yet gruesome way, they were able to achieve a few big wounds on Lucas yet it seemed to excite the human even more.
It stepped back a lot, its eyes painfully sad and scared yet there was a tinge of anger in them too.
Lucas had many cuts on his body but it only took a few minutes for them to fully heal.
He was covered in blood and sweat and the stench was very bad, even Arin had to keep a hand on his nose.

Lucas did not care, he had gotten into worse than this one.
With every second, the big wolf moved one step back then another not stopping the eye contact fearing that Lucas would do something last minute killing him on the spot too.
The big wolf had already absorbed all the blood coming out of its brethren and that was just 10 minutes ago, having fought Lucas. It had realized that there was no chance to live from here.
Until the human kept its blade back in the scabbard and moved toward the other human.
The wolf was surprised and even angry yet it just ran out of there, there was nothing else it could have done in this situation.
"W-Wait, you can’t let it go! They are very vengeful creatu-"
"I know, let go back now. I am done." Lucas took a big sigh and started moving back, the way back was plastered in his head.
"You realize it will come back for you, right?" Arin said hesitantly, he could not recognize Lucas anymore and his blood-covered body was only a short reason.
"I will be waiting."
From there on, nobody spoke anything, they both reached the exit for the forest where yet another problem needed to be faced.
"Halt!" The two guards at the gate stopped them from moving any further. Their armor was different as they had no headgear or anything.
"What can I help you with?" Lucas asked with a small smile yet all that blood on his face did not say otherwise.
"You… Do you even know what state you are in?" The guard to the right said while moving his hand around the nose stating that Lucas was stinking.
"Hahhh… I don’t want to do this but… Here." Lucas took out his disciple badge and showed it to them.
The guard took it from his hand and observed it from everywhere.
"What the fuck is this?"
"Hey, Listen here." The other guard looked at the badge too and whispered in the guard’s ear.
"What?"
"We should ask the commander about this badge, don’t go cussing and getting in trouble again."
"Ugh, okay."
"Alright, we will have to confirm what this is with the superiors, please stay here." The guard said with a smile.
"Fine by me"
"Man, you can’t give your disciple badge around like this, what if they don’t come back?"
"The master will do something about it, and also, they are guards of this town. Don’t go doubting them too."

"Ugh, you arrogant alchemist," Arin grumbled and went to the side were the shade was.
Lucas snickered, he felt very happy and satisfied, getting all that chaos energy out of him felt good. HIs heart was not at all heavy now.
