Chapter 26: Restricted
"Yawnn!!!"
Leon's figure could be observed walking a few meters behind Arian who was holding on to a bunch of chains tightly.

There were about 5 chains binding Leon at this point, one on his neck, two around his hands and two more on his feet. Because Leon had broken through to and became a level 1 warlock. Arian saw it necessary to increase the number of chains binding him.
But even with that, Leon was able to break the chains effortlessly on several occasions, so she had to get something special to keep him in place.
"Stay put and don't cause any trouble." Arian said to Leon before leaving him next to a cage in the middle of a small market in the camp.
"Sigh," Leon sighed. Arian has dragged him out this early in the morning because of her paranoia. She was always so scared that Leon would escape, even though it clearly stated in their oath that he couldn't attempt to do it without hinting it to her first.
Of course, she wasn't wrong to distrust Leon. Over the past few days, he had found so many loopholes in the oath that she couldn't help but become cautious of all his movements.
"Won't be long now." Leon muttered while causally looking around the market. One part of his goal was complete. He had gotten stronger after breaking through, at least he didn't need to be cautious of every Tom, dick and Harry he meets.
Now what he needed was to begin the second phase of his plan...
"Hey boss" While Leon was in his state of thought, a voice sounded from behind him, causing him to look back cautiously.
It was coming from Inside the cage.....
"It's you?" Leon raised his eyebrows and asked. The person who had called his name just now was someone he was familiar with.
It was the dodgy youth he had bought his poison dagger from when he was still with the blood serpent clan. He had been captured too.
"Weren't you on one of the front carriages of the world traversing serpent ?" Leon frowned. He could have sworn that he saw this guy bribe his way unto the carriages at the front of the world traversing serpent.
"Ahhhh boss, you don't know? The world traversing serpent was destroyed a few days ago. Only the higher ups and a few others are still on the run....." The dodgy youth explained to Leon.
The hunters had suddenly decided that the blood serpent clan was a top-priority target, and they were being ruthlessly hunted down day in and day out.
"Ohhhh so that's the case" Leon quickly understood what was going on. The hunters were trying to rescue the Dalriss boy....this was definitely not a good situation for him. After all, the chase was just a wild goose chase.
(Looks like I have to work faster)
Leon said in his mind. Time was running out. If he didn't work fast to escape, he would be done for.
"Boss, why don't you put in a little word for me for your master there, maybe she'll have pity for me and allow me to serve...." The dodgy youth rushed to Leon's ear and whispered.
He wanted to get out of this smelly place as fast as possible. He didn't mind slavery, he was quite savvy and could easily make it work for him. It was this uncomfortable cage that he couldn't handle.
"Ah? I wish I could.....but as you can see, I'm in a bit of a bind too myself" Leon said while dangling his chains for the youth to see.
"Ah? It seems so....." A bit disappointed by this response, the youth shook his head and leaned backwards.
"Hmmm, I do have something else that might interest you though" After looking around cautiously, Leon's whispered in a hushed voice.
"Oh really? What might that be?" The dodgy youth's interest was peaked as he proceeded to lean towards Leon once again...
Meanwhile,
In a dark corner of the camp, a young man in luxurious red clothing could be seen nervously standing between two massive carriages.
"Don't be worried, everything is already handled. You just have to make a little bit of trouble, and we can take it from there" a dark unknown voice sounded in the ear of the young man in the luxurious clothing.
Even though they explained it like this to him, the young man couldn't help but feel like he was being used like a discardable card. However, he knew that there was no choice here. He had to do what he was told.
"Uhhhh" he took in a mouthful of air and proceeded to walk out from between the carriage and directly into the market.
"What? Do you think gold coins can be picked from trees? Don't you try to swindle me, old fool"
As he approached, Arians voice sounded as she was haggling prices with a vendor in one of the makeshift stores.
"I promise you that these prices are good. Just take it" the store owner said, not giving Arian an inch of ground. High-quality chains that could hold level 1 Warlocks were strictly controlled by the Elders. Getting it on the market needed a lot of money.
Normally, Arian could get it from her team leader, but she didn't want anyone to know that Leon had broken through and became level 1 warlock on her watch. It would be a disaster.
"I'll take 5 silver pieces off the original price deal? "
Arian seemingly conceded after seeing how adamant he was. But in the last minute.
"I'll take those chains off your hands at twice the actual price"
