Chapter 27: I'm a prisoner, you're a prisoner too, Mrs jailer.

Arian turned to look at where the voice was coming from, and her eyes landed on the young man in red luxurious robes.

"Twice the price? Sold!!!" The shop vendor paid no mind to Arian anymore. He went straight forward and packed up the chains to deliver to the man in red luxurious clothing.

"Hmp!!" Arian sneered at this scene. The vendor didn't have a tinge of manners, he was just consumed by profits.

But she had no choice. The store owner had the right to sell to whomever he deems fit. Even if it didn't sit well with Arian.

"I'll take my business else where then" Arian left a snide remark before turning around and heading to an entirely different store.

However, the youth may in the luxurious clothing immediately followed behind after paying for his chains.

"I'll give you a discount...2% off. What do you think" in the new store, the vendor was more business savvy and could easily accommodate Arian's haggling, But once again, this didn't last long...

"What ever she wants to buy, I'll double the price and take it off your hands" the voice of the young man in luxurious clothing sounded again...

"Hm?" From the cage at the other side of the market, Leon noticed this scene and frowned. Someone was trying to antagonize Arian so openly????

"What's wrong boss?" The dodgy youth who had noticed the change in Leon's countenance asked worriedly. They were discussing something very important, but it seemed like Leon had been sucked into a deep thought.

"Nevermind, as I was saying..." Leon knitted his brows and dismissed what was going on. Only he knew what he was thinking in his mind.

"Hehe, you guys keep selling to a filthy wench like her, and you expect your business to flourish? Tell you what, anything she buys, doesn't matter from whom. I'll double the price and take it off your hands."

Standing in the middle of the market, the youth in red luxurious robes announced to the whole market. It was clear that he was targeting Arian, but for what reason?

"Hey, pretty lady. I've got some high-quality perfumes here. You can check them out. I'll give you a discount"

"You look like a warrior. What's a warrior without a great sword? Check this out. It has been passed from generations to generations in my family"

"Hey!! I have more chains in stock"

Immediately after the youth made that announcement. The entire market began frantically calling Arian to bargain, so they could sell their goods at double the price to the rich youth.

"Hmp!!" Arian knew this and wasn't ready for any more humiliation. She walked over to Leon and picked up his chain while preparing to leave. But could she leave just like that?

"That's right, run away like a scared cat. Like father, like daughter"

The youth said these words with some hesitance. Actually, he didn't know much about Arians background, but he had been prepped by Anan and his new friend to say this. It was supposed to spark a reaction from Arian.

"What did you just say?" Arian paused and slowly looked back at the young man with eyes filled with ill intent.

The look on her face immediately send a chill down the youth's spine. From what he had heard, Arian could be very explosive when she got mad.....he was afraid.

(This is bad)

Leon, who stood beside Arian, could see the change in her. She was not only releasing a bone chilling aura, there seemed to be a bountiful amount of mana congregating around her at the moment.

She was going to lose control!!!

"I..." The youth froze with fear. He didn't want to go along with it, but there was an invisible hand pushing him from the shadows. He had no choice.

"Die!!!" Arian turned back and suddenly a gust of wind blew from around her, threatening to end the life of the youth in front of her.

But

"Enough!!!" An elderly voice sounded from the distance as an aged man in black amour suddenly appeared in between Arian and the youth in luxurious clothing.

This man was a protector. They were responsible for maintaining the peace in the camps.

"Pheww" the youth who was causing trouble blew out a breath of relief. A second later and he wouldn't doubt that he would have been severely injured or maybe dead.

"This is the third time, Arain. How many times have I told you to watch your temper!!" The elderly man immediately started by berating Arian. Although he could clearly see that she was the one who was being antagonized. He couldn't stand for her actions.

The little boy didn't know, but that strike from Arian would have definitely ended his life if it landed.

"Protector Talsi" Arian gritted her teeth. This person was a big hypocrite. He would frequently act like he was one who stood for justice. But that was not the case, half the time he would side with those with influence.

"Sigh, I don't know what to do with you....." The protector shook his head in disappointment.

"Community service sentence: you are to bring back 20 tons of wood by tomorrow to the supply line. You there, take her to Section c"

The protector didn't waste anytime before dishing out a sentence. Arian had broken the rules by fighting inside the market, and she had to serve out her sentence. He was doing her a Favor even because If he wanted he could hold her in detention.

"Yes sir!!" A guard who had seemingly come out of nowhere stepped forward with a pair of chains and cuffed Arian.

"Come with me" the guard showed no emotions as he pulled Arian forward.

Seeing this turn of events, Leon hurriedly followed behind. There was too much he didn't know about Arian's circumstances. But from the way these guys were treating her. It seemed like there was really no difference between herself and him.

They were both prisoners in this camp
