A soft breeze messed Kade’s blonde hair. The guy raked his fingers in his hair to fix them.

And amidst the flipping pages of the textbook he held in one hand, Ella caught sight of pink and red pages.

’’I said go ahead and report me,’’ Ella smiled sweetly, ’’Because two can play the game.’’

Kade’s face altered colors, switching from black to blue.

At this moment, Professor Grimwood’s words quietened the chaotic class.

"I had intentionally put up some basic questions just to teach your aptitude. The questions and concepts were not even that critical yet so many of you have failed this test.’’

One by one, the professor started calling for names.

Ella’s name never came up.

Instead, Kade was called first.

The guy put his book down and got up to his feet, his face grumpy and eyes jumpy as he shot Ella a scathing glare.

Ella, who was eyeing Ruby’s back, took her own sweet time to get up and step to the side.

The guy was blocked by the wall on his left so he could only rely on his perverted seatmate to stop staring at beauties and make way for him.

Scoffing, he went to the professor, fetched his paper and got back to his seat.

Ella sat down again, peeking at his answer sheet, ’’How much did you get?"

Kade peeked at his paper and then frowned, ’’How does it have anything to do with you?"

Ella looked away with a wave of her hand. Kids these days are seriously so fussy!

Watching the girl dismissing him like an elder, Kade furrowed his brows. How weird can this weirdo get!

Even till the end, Ella did not receive her answer sheet.

Professor Grimwood made an announcement at this moment.

’’This time we have two class toppers and both of them have scored full marks.’’

The class went into an uproar.

Even though it was a class test, Professor Grimwood made it sound like his question paper was easy, but he set the most difficult questions out of all the other professors.

And the only person who scored full marks in his paper everytime was....

The entire class glanced at the Imperial Goddess, Ruby, sitting calmly in the first bench like this result was well within her expectations.

But who was the second person?

Everyone looked around but nobody caught anybody’s eyes.

They were all well acquainted with each other’s abilities after spending time with each other for years now.

The only new people in the class were their University God Kade, and the useless fatty Ella.

While some were inclined to believe the other topper was Kade, they knew that he rarely attended classes and even then, he would not have been a backbencher if he was that good at studies.

Professor Grimwood called out Ruby’s name.

After Ruby received the answer sheet, the entire class held their breaths.

"Ella Yu.’’

Under the shocked gazes of everyone, Ella walked to the front to receive her answer sheet.

The person who spoke had a shrill voice and she was sitting near to the second desk in the middle so her words reverberated rather loud in the chaotic classroom.

’’Copied his answers?" Professor Grimwood’s face turned grim.

The class quietened suddenly, unable to understand why the professor suddenly looked so enraged.

’’How could she copy his answers?"

To the professor’s interrogation, some students assumed that he was genuinely curious and naive about this entire deal regarding this vicious girl.

When they turned to look at the university ’god’, they realized their god seemed to be weirdly displeased.

The way he glared daggers at them was like mocking them for not standing up for him.

So, some girls righteously stood up, "Professor, you might not be aware of this but Ella Yu hasn’t attended any of the classes to this date...’’

’’What more... our class teacher declared that she would soon be kicked out of the university due to her low attendance as well as morally questionable actions...’’

’’Yes, Professor, how is it possible for someone like her to be a class topper? She must have copied the answers from Kade...’’

’’Enough!" Professor Grimwood was so angry that one could see his moustache bristling, ’’I just announced that only two people have gotten full marks. Would she copy from someone who has scored less than her?’’

’’But Professor, how...’’

’’Not just scored but rather failed the test!" As the entire class was struck in disbelief, Professor Grimwood turned to Kade whose face looked green by now.

’’I initially wanted to discuss this with you after classes but seeing your actions and the kind of company you keep, I think it is essential for you to learn something from this situation.’’

There was pin drop silence in the class.
