Chapter 1168: Witch Gully (2)
Ariel was confused when she heard this, but I wasn't.
I knew the name Witch Gully, I even knew exactly where this place was.
It was just that I wouldn't have been able to do anything if I were to head to that place all on my own, I wouldn't have been able to accomplish anything and would have actually gotten in trouble with the sea witches.
After all, this was the hideout of the sea witches and if an outsider were to show up all of a sudden...
There was no doubt that the reception that they would receive wouldn't be friendly.
It wouldn't be strange if they threw their spells to attack me instead of opening their arms to me and helping me.
So the only thing that I could do was get someone to bring me there.
I could see that Puffer was looking at me with a strange look, as if she was doubtful of me since I wasn't surprised by the words that she said. However, I just maintained the same calm look on my face to show that I wasn't bothered by this.
In the end, Puffer took out a bottle and threw it out in front of her.
When she did, there was this mass of water that gathered in front of her.
It gathered in a way that it clumped together, almost as if it was some kind of vehicle with the way that it floated there.
Puffer took the first step and walked onto this mass of water before turning around to look at us to say, "Are you coming?"
I didn't hesitate to step onto the mass of water since I was already used to all kinds of different things, but Ariel wasn't able to accept it that easily. That was because of the way that she had been raised, the things that she had been told about sea witch magic.
This mass of water gathering like this was clearly made with Puffer's sea witch magic, so she was hesitant to touch it.
She didn't know what would happen if she were to touch it...
But in the end, I reached my hand out towards her and pulled her over.
I could have walked a few more steps over and pulled her onto the mass of water with the air bubble since we were currently in the same air bubble, but I didn't want to force her like that. I wanted her to take the first step and experience sea witch magic for herself.
It was only like this that she would be able to come to accept sea witch magic.
After a long moment of silence, Ariel reached out to take my hand and stepped onto the mass of water.
When she stepped on, she couldn't help looking down with a surprised expression as if she was surprised by the texture of this mass of water. It was also as if she had expected something to happen when she stepped on this mass of water.
But in the end, nothing happened at all.
After she stepped on, Puffer didn't wait at all as she flicked her finger and the mass of water started to move.
Since she moved it before Ariel got her footing, she couldn't help losing her balance and falling forward. Since I had been holding her hand, she fell right into my arms after falling forward.
I was able to reach out and grab her, but the weight that she put on me made me lose my footing as well and I fell onto the mass of water with her on top of me.
There was a moment of silence as we just looked at each other, but then she slowly got off me. Both of us looked at Puffer like we were blaming her for what happened, but she acted like she didn't see anything. Or it was better to say that she acted like she didn't care about what happened with the way that she directed the mass of water.
With her magic, this mass of water was moving quite fast.
It wasn't as fast as a wyvern, but it was certainly faster than most of the fishes that were in the sea. We zoomed past all of the fishes that were just swimming about, like a car moving past
people.
Since we had the bubble of air around us, there wasn't any drag either that made this ride uncomfortable.
It was quite an interesting way to travel under the sea. freewebnoveℓ.com
We were able to see quite a few things as we moved through the sea like this.
This was even an experience that Ariel hadn't experienced before with the look of slight awe that was on her face as she looked around.
It didn't take long for us to arrive at our destination.
When we came close, Puffer even slowed the mass of water down.
Ariel was about to ask something, but I raised my hand to stop her and shake my head to show that we were about to arrive.
Seeing this, Ariel didn't say anything in the end and looked out ahead of us as if she was trying to see our destination. It was just that this was a deep part of the sea, which meant that this was a place where the sunlight didn't reach that easily.
It meant that this place was quite dark, so she wasn't able to see what she was looking for. With Puffer guiding the mass of water, we started heading down to the floor of the sea.
As we came closer, we were able to see a few things because there was a natural light that was coming from some things that were at the bottom. Though the light that seemed to be coming from the bottom of the sea looked like the light that predators used to pull in prey.
It almost seemed like we were being led into some kind of trap.
But that wasn't the case as we could see that there was a gap in the bottom of the sea.
"Welcome to Witch Gully."
