Chapter 590 - 588: AMBASSADOR 3

Chapter 590: Chapter 588: AMBASSADOR 3

[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]

That’s what greeted her the moment she opened her eyes the next day.

Diamond rubbed her eyes, feeling a bit drowsy, despite waking up at the same time as every day.

Despite feeling that way, she inwardly responded, ’Sign in!’ never forgetting a chance to earn something good for herself.

[Ding! You have been rewarded with beauty cream. *5]

Diamond didn’t react much to this reward. If there was something that she was used to receiving in these past eleven months, it was the beauty creams.

No matter how many she sells, the ones remaining are still plenty. Of course, it was due to how she minimized the sales. She didn’t want the customers to know that she owned too much.

In the future, when she starts selling the beauty cream since the lab would be opened next month if everything goes well, it won’t be the same as the one that she has.

She wasn’t a fool to not know how her world might not have the exact herbs needed to make the cream in the first place.

After getting her reward, Diamond did her morning chores and around 7 am, she was having breakfast.

Around this time, Ruby was nowhere to be found since she left earlier for school.

As for the twins, they were both sleeping while her parents and Garnet were having breakfast with her.

After breakfast, the four of them left the complex, with Diamond and Ma and Pa Perry heading in the same direction.

Just around eight in the morning, they arrived at the foundation and parked in the basement rather than outside.

As the three of them walked towards the elevator, Ma Perry spoke to Diamond.

"Dear, you need to tone yourself down later. Don’t let those people provoke you. You hear me?"

Diamond smiled at her mother, understanding where her worries were coming from.

"Don’t worry, mother. I will definitely do my best to keep to myself," she didn’t dare promise solemnly. After all, she had one principle when it comes to troublemaking.

If someone didn’t provoke her, she would keep her cool. But if she is provoked, then that becomes another story.

When Ma Perry heard that, she looked helplessly at Diamond, baffled at how she could give such a response. However, she shortly accepted that. After all, she said she would do her best. That was better than rejecting outrightly, right?

The three entered the elevator and took the elevator to the top floor.

The press conference would be held on the tenth floor in the conference room and she didn’t dare stop there. In case she blows her cover too soon.

When the heads of departments heard that Diamond had arrived, those in charge of the current project hurriedly made their way to the top floor. Among them was the PR lady, who was overseeing everything.

When Diamond arrived, she brought her parents to her office and waited for others to arrive.

Inside the office, she played on her tablet, checking some messages from a few acquaintances along the way.

She didn’t wait for long before the people she wanted to see arrived.

Upon seeing familiar faces, Diamond rose to her feet as she motioned for the heads to enter and make themselves comfortable in the office meeting space.

Diamond took the head seat and several heads sat on the sofas, ready for the meeting to start. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Diamond didn’t have much to say to these people honestly. It wasn’t the day for in-depth conversations regarding the foundation. There would be a day for that. So, once she was seated, she exchanged pleasantries with everyone for a while before heading into the story.

"So, what’s the plan for today?" she asked the PR lady with her brows raised.

The PR lady didn’t waste any time as she responded immediately, and Diamond could tell that she had been prepared.

"Miss, I have contacted ten reporters from different channels. We have been working well with them in the past few months, so they won’t be asking anything too daring," she informed with a serious gaze, understanding the importance of picking the right people for the job.

Knowing her boss well, if she gets offended, it won’t end well at all. She wanted to avoid such a mess at all costs.

Diamond listened to the PR lady and through her words, she managed to grasp the situation. Anyway, she won’t believe that these people are behaving until the whole thing is done.

"Okay, we will go along with what you have prepared," Diamond agreed to what the other said.

After all, all she needed to do was sign some documents, pose for some photos and answer briefly some questions.

When that part passed, the PR lady wasn’t finished, so she started talking about styling and dressing.

"You need to look the part, so we have prepared something," the PR lady said as she nodded to a young lady on the other side.

Diamond curious about what these people were up to. She waited to see what was going on.

The young lady left the office and returned moments later holding a gown bag.

Apparently, they had prepared a gown for her to wear during the press conference.

"What do you think about this, Miss?" the PR lady asked nervously as she looked at Diamond, who was looking at the gown with a serious expression.

The gown wasn’t bad, to be honest, and the brand was an unfamiliar one. She wasn’t one to be biased towards unpopular brands or something like that. The gown was beautiful and whoever picked, must know her preference very well. However, there seemed to be one problem.

Diamond stopped scrutinizing the gown and, under the anxiety of many, raised her head to look at the PR lady and said, "I am afraid that I might not be able to wear this gown today," her tone apologetic, making everyone wonder why.

"This ..... is it not to your liking? If you are worried about the brand being unknown, then I have an explanation for that," the PR lady nervously explained, hoping that Diamond would change her mind.

Diamond smiled faintly at the lady and responded, "I love the dress a lot, to be honest, but I just think that it’s not for the occasion. I can wear it another time but for today, since I will be signing officially as the ambassador of the charity foundation that we all love. Rather than a fancy Diamond known by everyone, I want to look the part," explained herself.

However, that only confused everyone in the room.

What was she talking about?
