Chapter 3 - Choice

Time passed, Aakesh continued explaining the characteristics of different treasures. Only the last thing was left now. A golden disc the size of George's palm stepped out. He covered his eyes right away. The disc was so bright that it almost blinded his eyes, even though he was in his soul form.

"This device is called the Energy System. This system will transmigrate with your soul in a new world, and it will let you grow stronger without any limit, as long as you have enough energy to absorb. You can even become the strongest of the Multiverse. It's the best treasure of this lot," He explained the shocking characteristics of the golden disk.

George took a deep breath after hearing about the Energy System. He couldn't believe that this kind of treasure exists. The most shocking thing was that it wasn't even the best treasure Aakesh had. It was just the best treasure presented to him.

"So, what do you want to buy?" Aakesh then asked George and stared at him, waiting for his answer.

Suddenly, George woke out of his stupor. He forgot during the introductions that he was to buy things. It wasn't a gift. He looked at Aakesh and then at the valuable treasures in front of him. A disappointed sigh escaped his mouth.

"I don't have any money, senior," George told Aakesh, embarrassingly.

Aakesh stared at George like he was looking at an idiot. George's face became red due to the stare. "You've been asking stupid questions since you arrived. Now, you even started thinking of me as an idiot. Of Course, I know you don't have money. How can a dead man have money?" Aakesh responded with a stern look on his face.

George didn't know what to say in response. "Just because your cat can speak and you live in space doesn't make my questions stupid," He thought in his heart.

"You think money can buy these things. You need to sign agreements for the treasures you buy in this store," Aakesh ridiculed George and then explained the requirement for buying things.

George ignored the ridicule. "What is the requirement to buy the cheapest thing in this lot, senior?" George then asked after hearing about the way to purchase.

Aakesh pointed at the embryo and explained, "This is the cheapest. You only need to pay a supercluster core in thirty years to pay for this."

"FUCK!" George couldn't help but yell out loud. "I'm sorry for losing my calm," He noticed his mistake and apologized the next moment, not to anger Aakesh.

"It's ok. You're not the first to do this. I don't understand how someone can think these treasures are inexpensive," Aakesh commented, as every single customer lost their composure after hearing even the lowest price.

"But a supercluster core-," George wanted to still complain about the prices, but his words got stuck in his throat when Lily glared at him.

"I thought the revival powerup pill would be the cheapest," George then asked another question, as he didn't want to face the ire of Lily.

"I told you, he's an idiot. I still don't understand why he was even brought here," Lily scoffed at George in her childish voice. George wanted nothing more than to squish Lily's face due to her voice. As if Lily understood his thoughts, she hissed at him and revealed her shiny and sharp claws.

"Stop it. We are doing business, Lily," Aakesh ordered. Lily scoffed and left the hall.

"I won't even try to answer this question of yours," Aakesh then told George.

George smiled wryly at the response. "It seems this senior is very moody," He thought in his heart.

"How much does this golden disc cost, senior?" He then asked, pointing at the golden disk.

"Are you sure you want to know this?" Aakesh asked as if he knew the future response of George.

George nodded at Aakesh's question. "Fine, it costs one hundred and eight universal cores every day for one hundred and eight days," Aakesh answered expressionlessly.

George didn't even listen to the whole statement, as he stopped hearing everything after universal core. He didn't speak anything for some time after that.

"So, do you want to know other treasures/pills prices?" Aakesh asked and broke the silence.

George shook his head. He couldn't hear outrageous prices anymore. 𝐟𝙧ℯ𝑒𝒘𝐞𝒃𝗻𝒐ѵ𝘦𝑙.com

"Senior, what if I am unable to pay?" George asked the most critical question.

"You don't want to hear that," Aakesh replied expressionlessly, but the air around George suddenly turned murderous. He shrank his neck due to fear. He only took a breath when the murderous aura vanished.

"But, you don't have to worry about not paying or the expensive cost. Whenever you buy something from this store, you always earn more than what you paid," Aakesh explained.

George fell silent. After thinking for hours, George finally made his decision. Aakesh also didn't disturb him, as the decision was too significant for George.

He pointed at the embryo with shaking fingers and told Aakesh, "I'll take this, senior."

Aakesh nodded and snapped his fingers, then suddenly, a piece of brown animal skin appeared in front of him. The blood-colored flourishing words started appearing on the paper as if someone was writing. After a few seconds, the document was complete.

Aakesh handed out the animal skin to George. He took it respectfully and read the whole document. The contract wasn't too harsh, but the starting point confused him. Confused, he looked up at Aakesh and asked, "Um, senior, the document says, I'll get transferred to hell and start from there."

"Hellfire is the fire of hell, so where else would you go to train for it," Aakesh replied expressionlessly.

"You don't have to worry. Your living in hell isn't permanent. After training and becoming powerful, you can leave hell anytime you want," He added.

"But, senior, I've heard that there is no return from hell," George expressed his doubts.

"The born inhabitants who are weak like you can't leave, so that weak Universes like yours can survive. You are just going there, and if you're powerful enough, then anyone can leave. It all comes down to power in the end. Hell is just one of the clusters of Universes in the Multiverse," Aakesh explained.

"It's just one of the clusters for you, but not for most of the people," George complained in his heart, but he smiled to show his acceptance of the answer.

"Do you think that I can't hear your thoughts?" Aakesh suddenly asked. 𝗳𝘳𝐞e𝙬𝙚𝚋𝗻𝚘𝚟𝗲l.𝑐𝑜m

Suddenly, the smile on George's face froze. "I am sorry, senior. I didn't mean to disrespect you," George apologized while his back was sweating due to fear.

"If you're ready, sign the contract," Aakesh ignored his apology and ordered him.
