So, just like how Kent had to concoct a Tier 3 pill as his requirement to become a Pill Grandmaster, Pill Saint Enex is required to concoct a Tier 8 pill.

On the human continent, the highest pill recipe is at the Tier 7 stage. It was only known to a handful. This means the highest they can go is the Pill Saint stage since going to the Pill Empire, which is the elven empire, isn't an option.

He knew, if he asked politely, there was no way she would come with him.

So, as sinister as he was, he formed the best plan.

He poisoned Elaine's mother with a poison that life magic cannot heal. This calls for alchemy, and as sinister as he was, he made sure this was realized by the young life magic user who doesn't know she is being manipulated.

It was safe to say she had indeed succeeded, and for years, he nurtured Elaine until he deemed her ripe enough for the picking.

That was when he approached her using that letter. Elaine became his, and when she finally accepted her role as the disciple of a Pill Saint, the real devil she had chosen bared his fangs at her.

She became helpless, and for years, she felt trapped.

But now, a stranger she planned to use as her shield has done more than she wanted. She just couldn't understand what had happened or how it happened.

But she is now free.

However, Kent had just made himself into public enemy number one. His enemies started to increase, so he knew drastic measures must be taken.

He entered the carriage, where Nara and Lady Lani were already waiting for him. Soon, they are back to their hotel, which was being monitored like he left it.

The moment he entered the room, he called out.

"Sylara, come out."

The evil, undead lady appeared, frightening Lady Lani, who drew her dagger.

"Relax, Lady Lani, she is a friend," Kent said, using his left hand to block her from advancing toward her doom.

The red-eyed, undead lady looked at the assassin beauty but said nothing. But Kent could tell she was looking forward to torturing her.

"Master, you called me," Sylara said.

"Yes. Please keep an eye on that Pill Saint. The moment he took action to do anything stupid, kill him, and knowing you, do it slowly and painfully."

Kent said coldly, making the two ladies inside the room feel the temperature drop considerably.

"I will do as you say, Master." Sylara giggled, or made a sound that sounded like a giggle, and then vanished from the room.

"Nyxira, come out." Again, the Umbra Elf, who is also Elsa's strongest soul sentinel, appeared. This again made the beautiful assassin turn and look at Nara, who just remained calm and watching.

"They want me dead," he smiled. "But the thing is, I also want them dead, or perhaps alive." He smiled, but his expression turned evil.

"You see, in the next five years, this world might come to an end, and I am the only one that can save everyone. This means I want manpower. And while I will appreciate having them alive, I know that will be difficult to achieve, so I can only go for the next best option and use their dead bodies for my own project."

"Don't tell me..." Lady Lani's voice dropped as her jaw hung wide open.
